Top Ten NFL Players Most Likely to Win MVP for the 2018-2019 Season

PackFan2005
Tom Brady was 2017's NFL MVP. Before him were Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, etc. We have plenty of talented NFL players currently, but only one can win the prestigious MVP award. Who will it be? We're looking at the top ten NFL players most likely to win MVP for the 2018-2019 season.

The Top Ten

1 Aaron Rodgers Aaron Rodgers Aaron Charles Rodgers is an American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.

Last time Rodgers went down with a broken collarbone, he won MVP the next year. That may be wishful thinking, but he's still in his prime. Maybe he can rake in a third MVP award, just like Tom Brady did in 2017. - PackFan2005

Coming off of an injury hungry for another ring, and with new piece Jimmy Graham to work with. It's coming home lads

Hmmm... tough to say how things will break, but my money's on Rodgers. - Ned964

I’m going with Rodgers because he is still in his prime and could very well have a big year after his injury put him on the sidelines last year - Randomator

2 Carson Wentz Carson Wentz Carson Wentz is an American football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He played college football at North Dakota State University. He was drafted by the Eagles with the second overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft, becoming the highest drafted quarterback from an ...read more.

He was 2017's surefire MVP before he tore his ACL. His play may slack off a bit this year due to his ACL injury, but I still expect MVP numbers from Wentz. - PackFan2005

3 Russell Wilson Russell Wilson Russell Carrington Wilson is an American football quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League.

He's cemented himself as a top five quarterback in the NFL. Heck, he accounted for 100% of his team's points last year. I kid you not. With the Seahawks spiraling into the black abyss, Wilson could be their one shining light in 2018. - PackFan2005

4 Antonio Brown Antonio Brown Antonio Brown is an American football wide receiver and punt returner for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He is often regarded as one of the best Wide Receivers in today's game in the NFL. Brown was selected 195th overall to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round.

Brown honestly would've won it last season if it hadn't been for injuries late into the season that forced him to miss a few games. Expect the all-pro to produce more in 2018 and contend for MVP. - PackFan2005

5 Drew Brees Drew Brees Drew Christopher Brees is an American football quarterback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He is the only player to have back to back to back 5,000 yards in three seasons straight. Brees also has the all time best completion percentage with 66.95%.

In what could be his final season, going out with an MVP would be the way to retire. With Brees set to break Peyton Manning and Brett Favre's passing records in 2018, will that be enough for an MVP award? - PackFan2005

I believe it would be a nice send off if Brees just exploded and wins MVP and leads his team to the super bowl. - 2storm

The best QB who have never won an MVP Award. He should win MVP this season.

6 Philip Rivers Philip Rivers Philip Michael Rivers is an American football quarterback for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League.

The Chargers are set for a huge season, and Rivers will lead them once again. Optimism is high in Los Angeles, but they'll need a good quarterback. If Rivers plays like he did during the last half of last season, expect big things from him. Possibly an MVP. - PackFan2005

That picture of him never fails to crack me up. - phillysports

7 Ezekiel Elliott Ezekiel Elliott

There's a chance. He missed six games last season, but still had above-average numbers. He could be battling Todd Gurley for the title of best running back in the league in 2018. - PackFan2005

8 Todd Gurley Todd Gurley Todd Gurley II is an American football running back for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League.

Gurley was in the running last year, but didn't win. He got offensive player of the year, which is still quite an achievement. Can Gurley hit the 2,000+ scrimmage yards barrier again in 2018? If so, he really could be crowned the NFL's best. - PackFan2005

9 Tom Brady Tom Brady Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr., is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Brady is known for being the only quarterback in history to win 5 Super Bowls, and is often considered one of the best quarterbacks of all time. Brady is also frequently ...read more.

Retirement is on the horizon, and like Brees, it would be nice for Brady to go out with a fourth MVP in his pocket. But can he still produce at age 41? - PackFan2005

How is he 9 when he won last year lel - kuledude

10 Von Miller Von Miller Vonnie B'Vsean Miller Jr. is an American football outside linebacker for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League.

This will be tough. A defensive player hasn’t won an MVP award since 1986 (Lawrence Taylor). It’ll be difficult for Miller to really pull it off. - PackFan2005

The Contenders

11 Derek Carr Derek Carr Derek Dallas Carr is an American football quarterback for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League.

He could've won it in 2016. That is, if he hadn't broken his leg. His production fell of a cliff in 2017, part of a 6-10 Raiders team. Perhaps he can revert back to 2016 form, and win that elusive MVP award. - PackFan2005
