NFL Teams With the Best Offenses Going Into the 2018 SeasonOf course, offense is vital for team success. If defense wins championships, then what gets them there? The offense of course. In today’s league, you need a good quarterback and some reliable receivers, a steady runner, and a strong offensive line to have a great offense. But some teams have better than average offenses. Ones that are very promising, and can help a team really make it to the big game. We’re looking at the top ten NFL teams with the best offenses going into the 2018 season.
The Top Ten
Notable Players: Jared Goff, Todd Gurley, Robert Woods, Cooper Cupp, Brandin Cooks, Pharoh Cooper, Andrew Whitworth.
The Rams are vying for another playoff run this year, after a disappointing wild card loss. They can do it with Todd Gurley. He practically carries the offense, more so than Goff, who is still vital in the passing game. - PackFan2005
Notable Players: Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram, Ryan Ramszyk, Max Unger, Ted Ginn.
This Saints offense is nearly the same as last year, and it’s looking firey. Drew Brees is as sharp as always with two reliable backfielders. Not to mention a steady offensive line with the anchor being Max Unger. They have the tools to make it farther in the playoffs this year. - PackFan2005
Notable Players: Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, Ju Ju Smith-Schuster, Maurkice Pouncey, James Washington, Jesse James, David DeCastro, Alejandro Villanueva.
Perhaps I underestimated Pittsburgh’s offense, with an aging Big Ben and a reluctant running back. Still, Ben can play, and he has the best wide receiver in the NFL, Antonio Brown, as his favorite target. He also gets Ju Ju and impressive rookie James Washington. And to make way for Le’Veon Bell, enter their key offensive line. Maybe they can make a playoff run after all. - PackFan2005
Notable Players: Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement, Lane Johnson, Zach Ertz, Alshon Jeffery, Jason Kelce, Jason Peters, Nelson Agholor.
Wow, that many notable players. It tells you how well set the Eagles are with their offense. I mean, who even has a Super Bowl MVP for a backup quarterback? Also, reliable weapons at wide receiver and tight end. Not only that, one of the top ten offensive lines in the NFL currently. With Carson Wentz coming back, anything can happen. - PackFan2005
Notable Players: Kirk Cousins, Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen, Dalvin Cook, Latavius Murray, Pat Elflein, Kyle Rudolph.
Cousins will be an upgrade over what Case Keenum did last season. Tall order, but Cousins can do it with reliable receivers Diggs and Thielen. While Dalvin Cook is being severely overhyped, he will provide the Vikings with a run game they haven’t truly had since Adrian Peterson. - PackFan2005
Notable Players: Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, Jimmy Graham, Marcedes Lewis, David Bakhtiari, Corey Linsley, Bryan Bulaga.
Looking to get back on track after a 2017 season marred by injury, Green Bay has their offense pretty much healthy. When Rodgers is around, anything can happen. In addition to Adams and Cobb, Rodgers has a huge target in Graham, and a good blocker in Lewis. The starting offensive linemen also look strong for 2018. Good signs for this team, but needs a good defense. - PackFan2005
Notable Players: Phillip Rivers, Melvin Gordon, Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, Tyrell Williams, Mike Williams, Travis Benjamin, Mike Pouncey, Russell Okung, Forrest Lamp.
Even with the loss of Hunter Henry don't be surprised if Rivers gunslingers that ball to his four horseman wide receivers. The only one I'd be concerned if he doesn't improved in this hyped up offense is Mike Williams, but other than that this should be an exciting offense to watch overall. - htoutlaws2012
Notable Players: Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Sony Michael, Rob Gronkowski, James White.
Definitely not looking as potent as in recent years, they’re still a pretty dang good offense. As long as Tom Brady is their quarterback, they will. - PackFan2005
Notable Players: Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Mohammad Sanu, Alex Mack, Jordan Matthews, Devonta Freeman, Tevin Coleman.
Atlanta isn’t looking too bad this season on offense. It’s all up to Ryan and Jones to hold the offense together, with Freeman and Coleman helping out here and there. - PackFan2005
Notable Players: Mitchell Trubisky, Jordan Howard, Anthony Miller, Allen Robinson, Trey Burton, Tarik Cohen, Kyle Long, Cody Whitehair.
Chicago has a sleeper written offense, and a new head coach to boot who could prove to be a step up retooling a poor offense from the last two years to being an improved squad this year. - htoutlaws2012
Notable Players: Eli Manning, Odell Beckham Jr, Sterling Shepherd, Evan Engram, Saquon Barkley, Jonathan Stewart, Nate Solder.
After an awful 3-13 2017 season, I see New York resurging in some way. And it’ll start with their offense. Manning has three good targets plus a high end rookie running back and a veteran of over a decade. Plus, Nate Solder. Things will look a lot different on the Giants offense in 2018. - PackFan2005
Notable Players: Derek Carr, Amari Cooper, Jordy Nelson, Martavius Bryant, Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin, Donald Penn.
My question is, “can Oakland revert back to 2016 form? ” Well, maybe not right away, but they have the talent to do so. Carr can come back with three reliable receivers and two veteran backs. We’ll see come week 1. - PackFan2005
They have some weapons including Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt,Spencer Ware and Chris Conley. The only catch is Patrick Mahomes. It all depends on how well he performs. I’m expecting some consistency issues for young Patrick Mahomes especially early on. But these weapons could still produce when Mahomes hits them right on - Randomator
Notable Players: Tyrod Taylor, Nick Chubb, Jarvis Landry, David Njoku, Josh Gordon, Kevin Zeitler, Joel Bitonio.
The Browns have built a very interesting group of guys who give them quite the number of wins. Will they be a surprise playoff contender absolutely not, but if Hue Jackson can get around 8 wins I would be stunned too. Now he has no excuse on offense what he has around him could be a sneaky good offense as long as protection is either healthy or holds up right. - htoutlaws2012
