NFL Teams with the Best Offensive Lines Going Into the 2019 Season
If you can dominate in the trench department you have a chance to go far down a season. In this case the offense side of things you can really own the field with such power if down right. These offensive lines are so good that they bring stability to a whole new level.Sure the steelers may not be that same team, but what keeps them together is the elite offensive line big Ben plays on, and while his playing ability is diminishing. You got guys like DeCastro, Villanueva, Pouncey and Foster all solid guys up front really grind opposing defensive lines like nothing flat.
I think the Patriots will end up once again having the most balanced trench in football why? They get back Isaiah Wynn, they drafted backup utility players in case any of them fall. Belichick is playing this season very wisely how he wants it set up for potential a 7th ring in play. Even the starters themselves are mostly well done in protection the only weakness would of been right tackle, but that will change to progression I fell.
Nobody fought that Colts would go from this dead to the water looking team to all of a sudden back to a contending team thanks to not just Andrew Luck, but because that offensive line was near excellent in protection. Quentin Nelson is a machine his this generational guard mountain of a man who hard to even get after his that impressive and he was the best lineman in that draft. Ryan Kelly managed to stay healthy he played great, Castonzo made significant improvement in his protection once he shaked off his injury. Glowinski is also a underrated lineman whose actually very good, and if they lost him that would of looked much different outlook. They just have that solid rock for Andrew Luck to maybe finally win a super bowl and would have to be more right now then as oppose to waiting.
Eagles for the last 2 years have had superior offensive line play, and I don't expect much different this year. Now I didn't like some of the draft moves, and or other things they have done, but in any case unless injury happens I can't go away from what I'm seeing as a contending team even with things that seem very off. I mean they draft there first round player as insurance policy in case of either Jason Peters or Lane Johsnon get hurt. It may payoff, or most likely it may not remains to be seen. When that line is fully up right for Carson Wentz to go when his not taking a devastating hit that offense is incredibly difficult to defeat.
I mean you look at this line you have two elite studs at tackle that are tough to get passed, and than to add it up with solid guard play its pretty tough combination to beat, but one thing that could be different is the play at center how will that impact the play on offense otherwise pretty good group overall.
One thing that actually worked in Baltimore's favors was having a solid offensive line that would run heavy up front that would throw off opposing defenses with the mix dose of Jackson, and Edwards. Now with Ingram in the mix makes for a interesting gameplan of three guys running the football or will Jackson become a better passing quarterback? Where will it all go based on how much the offensive line can hold up. Marshal Yanda is one of the best of his position, you have quality plays with your two tackles in Brown, and Stanley (although at times his kinda flaky) with a very good and overlooked center in Skura.
There's another main reason why Mahoems was able to be as great as he was with such a great offensive line he had. Eric Fisher might not be the best of the 1st overall picks, but Andy Reid is sticking to his guns keeping him for fair use.
In terms of offense what shook me most is the massive quality play of that trench they had and not the actual weapons themselves were kinda disappointing for me. Maybe that changes when Trubisky really starts to unleash himself in year three where they might need play outta him then his defense bailing him out many games last season. A very young offensive line that could rule in the future, and already is considered the best of its own division by default.
Yes the Cleveland Browns to me on paper look like a top 10 offense, if not for such an improved offensive line. Yes they ended up giving up Zeitler to the Giants, but they should still be moderately okay. The on thing that bothers me is the left tackle play of Greg Robinson. Now granted they did say he played better in the system, but ultimately his not the long term answer.
Hands down the best line in the NFC West, and one of the better ones to be under is the Rams's offensive line. I considered having them higher up seeing how far they got as a team with balance, but they did lose a notable piece in Roger Staffold going to Tennessee. This running game could be a bit different especially with how Gurley will do next season ending with swell in his knee yikes. Passing game should be still good though its just how do you move on from that super bowl hangover that you probably didn't deserve in the first place.
