NFL Teams With the Worst Offenses Going Into the 2018 Season

While there are teams with established Offenses that can go 16 games a season, there are other teams whose offense is either unpredictable or just poor overall, and here are some teams that will struggle getting down the field a lot.
The Top Ten
1 Miami Dolphins The Miami Dolphins are a professional American football franchise located in the Miami metropolitan area.

For me the worst offense this year could very well be the Dolphins I mean they did not manage to get a backup Quarterback, and in doing so Adam Gase mentions his comfortable with what he has as his 3 guys oy vey we have problems. You have a running back headache between Drake, Gore, and rookie Ballage. Receivers known of them are really proven #1's at best supporting cast Danny Amendola, Kenny Stills, DeVante Parker, and Albert Wilson yeah no of those guys are a #1 that looks very average to see with four guys you have no idea which one gets the most touches. An average O-line at best, and finally Tight End the one positive thing I have to say about this offense is the Penn State guy could be good this year, but other than that this season is a disaster from the beginning of the off-season started it seemed like.

2 Buffalo Bills The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area that competes in the National Football League. Buffalo Bills had the longest playoff drought of any team which came to an end in 2017.

Bills O-line looks like it is going to be dead last worst of all you almost risked Josh Allen to more damage on him in the head on week 3 careful there. If Nathan Peterman is in your season is over. Shady McCoy is a proven leader, but the problem him this throughout the season this report found 2 months ago could bite him down the road especially if there trying to fight for a playoff spot could come up short if his absence in the running game. Kelvin Benjamin is basically playing for his life with the comments he gave about Cam Newton. Corey Coleman might be a decent #2, but it all depend on how or who that quarterback will be in 16 games progression. Charles Clay is a decent Tight End does have some games he shines, and at times he is either hurt, or inconsistent. Overall Bills offense is weak on paper.

You just wait. Their offense is going to be great. Maybe their o line isn't the best, but Nathan Peterman, and their running backs and their recievers are great. Just Waait.

3 Washington Redskins The Washington Commanders are a professional American football team based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In 2020, Washington after 87 years got rid of the Redskins trademark due to it being labeled racist to native culture. It was named the Washington Football Team until February 2022, when the team was renamed the Washington Commanders.

Hmm... let's see where to begin with the Redskins oh that's right you lose Cousins, and you managed to get Alex Smith who had his best year as a Chief, and in his career knowing that anybody that goes to Washington don't have a happy end, and thus why Alex Smith will go from rags to riches, to back to reality an average quarterback, and why is that you ask well his not gonna have Guice, for one, and instead he'll have tail backs Thompson, and yes Adrian Peterson. His receivers the worst receiving core right in Crowder, Doctson, & Richardson I mean these are all average player compared to having Tyreek Hill I mean it doesn't get any worse of a downgrade. The only real upgrade he'll have is the O-line is slightly better in Washington than it was in Kansas City. Finally Tight Ends Jordan Reed will probably be ut of the league to be honest this could be it for him, and what we may see is visions of 2007 when Alex Smith connected a lot to his old buddy Vernon Davis not a bad idea, but this ...more

4 Seattle Seahawks The Seattle Seahawks are a professional American football franchise based in Seattle, Washington. The Seahawks compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference West division.

Passing game might be good, but the running game could be one of the worst just based on how god awful their O-line is overall minus Brown. Tight End you have nobody, you'll have two running back, and Russell Wilson pretty much trying to run which will be difficult to do.

5 Denver Broncos The Denver Broncos are an American football team based in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.

This offense is every unknown it could either be sneaky good like 49ers, or extremely terrible like Buffalo. Denver has some very interesting pieces like Keenum, and Royce who could be that Kareem Hunt they need in the running game. Tight End is very unknown you have a guy who I like that could really show his potential in Jake Butt, but realistically your one of the weaker squads at the Tight End position. An okay O-line, two actually three wild card receivers its all on Keenum who he'll throw most to this season.

6 New York Jets The New York Jets are a professional American football team located in the New York metropolitan area.

I don't expect this season to be of any success for the Jets, but what are they gonna do with that three headed monster at Quarterback? Josh McCown has great veteran instinct, while a guy like Sam Darnold is another guy you just put some stock into that originally didn't wanna play for this teams back in his USC days reverse psychology. Isaiah Crowell is okay, and Powell again just okay. Robby Anderson is a light-bulb switch for this team moving forward, and you got nobody else in terms of the passing game, and a more weaker O-line to deal with thus don't expect Darnold to thrive immediately.

7 Dallas Cowboys The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference East division.

I gotta be honest we have no idea what the passing game is gonna look like in Dallas, but aside from the running game that should look strong the O-line is pretty concerning they'll lose their center from some illness or disease, Zack Martin, and La'el Collins are banged up Cowboys might be in trouble offensively, and yes even defensively unknown to say if this season is anywhere from success.

8 Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional American football franchise based in Tampa, Florida. The Buccaneers currently compete in the National Football League as a member team of the National Football Conference South division.

Not an entirely bad offense, but the primary O-line is pretty awful compared to its backups. Fitzpatrick not a bad backup, but he could start all year over Winston based on the relationship with Koetter is notoriously been in bad condition. Ronald Jones looks bad on preview thus Peyton Barber might be decent in the running game. Mike Evans is a great receiver, but is Chris Godwin gonna one up the looks to be declined DeSean Jackson? You have two good Tight Ends in Howard, and Brate who really help extend plays when the line absolutely crumples by them by opposing defenses. Compared to others they do have some nice weapons, but their starting O-line is very atrocious thus they fall in the middle based on situation and protection.

9 Arizona Cardinals The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football franchise based in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Like the Texans, Cardinals have two main weapons people are familiar being David Johnson, and a bound hall of famer Larry Fitzgerald. Seals- Jones showed at times his potential at the Tight End position a very average O-line which doesn't help the passing game, but benefits David Johnson more. I'm not sure what Kirk is gonna do, or Rosen may do, but one thing I know having Bradford in means you are likely to lose early on in the season probably the offensive game looks very mediocre aside from those two players.

10 Houston Texans The Houston Texans are a professional American football team based in Houston, Texas. The team competes in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.

Let me explain why I chose Houston over Tennessee and Jacksonville... Yes Watson, and Hopkins is a sick combo right, but then look around with what he has one of the worst O-lines in football. Lamar Miller can't quite get the touches his looking for because well again terrible protection. Whose gonna be the guy with the short catches Ryan Griffin... maybe Will Fuller could step up, but other than that all you got there is both Watson, and Hopkins compared to the Titans where they have committee run, and some more slightly compatible receivers for Mariota to work with, and a much more fluent O-line to have. Bortles has an O-line to work with, has an elite running back and a breakout star in Keelan Cole just enough to barely not get the 10th spot on this list.
