Made five first all star teams and three second all star teams in 14 NHL seasons. Was voted No.59 of the top 100 players of all time by the Hockey News in 1998.

Most people have no idea who he was since he played so long ago, but he has more Hart trophies than any other defenceman in NHL history (Orr included). He should be easily in the top 5.
Niedermayer only got one Norris trophy, probably cus he had to compete with Lidstrom, but as far as I'm concerned, if Lidstrom was a 99, Niedermayer was a 98... it's no accident that he's the only human in history to win a Memorial Cup, World JR gold, World Championship Gold, Olympic Gold, World Cup and Stanley Cup.
I don't know why everyone hates him so much. He's my idol!
