NHL Players With the Best Chance of Beating 99's Record

The Top Ten
1 Sidney Crosby Sidney Patrick Crosby ONS (born August 7, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who currently serves as captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League.

Which record? most all-time points? In today's NHL, nobody has a realistic chance of breaking that record because, during most of Gretzky's career, 100 pt seasons were common and many would score 120, 130+, these days we're lucky of 2 guys in the league hit 100 in the same season. Maybe at some point, the offense will go back up and then McDavid may have a chance (and outside chance) but I don't see anyone challenging this record the way hockey is played these days.
