Top Ten Nintendo 3DS Mario Games
So it has been almost over a year since the last Mario game on the Nintendo 3DS was announced and about half a year since said game was released. We have not seen a mario game since. And in fact there are barely any new 3DS games coming out recently. I am guessing that the Nintendo 3DS has come to its end. While it's not discontinued, I am afraid that the beloved system has come to an end, my favourite video game console of all time. This is the console I have the most video games for and the system itself is just nearly flawless. So I'm counting down the best Mario games on the Nintendo 3DS. With that being said here is the list.Mario Kart 7 is not only the first Nintendo 3DS game I got (and favourite Mario Kart game), but it's most likely also my favourite Mario game on the 3DS. This game sure does lack single player versus mode, and the battle mode isn't the absolute best since you can't decide how many rounds you want to play, the courses, music and online is what makes me love this game so much.
This game by far had the best online in the mario kart series in my opinion for some reason. I also liked the roster, sure, it lacks Waluigi and has Metal Mario instead, but the choices in this roster were so obscure. Wiggler and Honey Queen are characters you don't normally get to play as in mario spin-offs. So in short, the rosters and courses are all greatly done and it's nearly flawless. Top on the list for me.
Not my favorite game in the series especially with the lack of single player content but there’s still some fun to be had here. This game is still very unique
Best 3DS Mario Game and best Mario Kart game overall.
My favorite 3DS exclusive game.
Now one thing that's true about this game is that it's not the most original mario game, and the level design and story is very boring. However, this was the first mario game to mix 2D and 3D and it was quite an original act. I like it in my opinion.
However, the reason this game isn't original, is as you read above, the story and level design is basically the same as every other mario platformer. But this game is still a lot of fun. It gives me some nostalgia. Other than that there is no much to say here.
I feel like this should be a bit higher as it is really fun to play but I understand.
How on earth is this rated lower than Mario Party: Island Tour?
3D, anything else to say
This is a game that is actually my brother's, but I managed to play it nevertheless., and it's a great game definitely. I have a spoiler free review on it which you can check out for more information on why I really liked this game, anyway.
This game was very memorable and fun to play through. It's very original and the bosses and mansions all stand out from one and another. My only problems are that the game feels a bit too linear, the music was dissapointing and the fact that it wasn't that scary. But other than that it's a very great game overall.
Of the ten mario games I have played on the Nintendo 3DS this is definitely the worst. Really, it's as generic as it can get. Save princess from Bowser. Go through six worlds, all as basic as they can get. Grass, desert, water, jungle, etc.
The most interesting part of the game is the coin thing, as this game is centered around coins. Collecting a bunch coins is satisfying but that's all this game has offering. Not a bad game but not a good one either. Least favourite on the list.
Just figured I could improve this list instead of leave it made by someone who tries too hard to overrate 3DS Mario games (especially Island Tour) as if Mario games that came before aren’t any better. So I put a 3DS Mario game that actually surpasses the levels of great for its retro style and limitless possibilities of how we can make our own stages.
SUPER MARIO MAKER is amazing! Play it every day
This is the most recent 3DS game I got and one of my favourites. While Dream Team is better, this is a close second. One of the most unique mario games out there as in this game you not only control Mario & Luigi, but also Bowser, who's the main protagonist. While yes this game is about saving the world from someone who wants to take it over, and the kidnapping Peach cliché is there as well, the originality lies in the settings and gameplay.
I mean you control Bowser for frick sake! This makes it stand out a lot from the other Mario & Luigi games as Bowser comes with his own attacks, moves, etc. What about the mario bros.? Well they are controlled inside Bowser's body. Yeah. There are so many unique gimmicks implented in this game. Giant boss battles is another fun feature. Overall this is the fourth best 3DS mario game.
Why did nobody realize how pointless this was? You can already play Bowser inside story on 3ds! And the remake isn't even that good, the graphics look way worse, and the artstyle is GONE!
It took a long time for me to accept that this game was one of the greatest and better than Superstar Saga. This game is superior to that game is every possible way imaginable. It's even more unique and creative. The setting is pherhaps even better, and the story is better.
Antasma was an excellent villian and Bowser was very intimidating in this game. I loved the dream worlds and how important Luigi is. This game is one of the greatest of all time. A lot of people hate it because of tutorials and how graphics aren't good. Tutorials and graphics don't make a game. It's originality and gameplay that does the.t And this game was in fact one of the most original.
Love it except the giant bowser boss
The first Mario & Luigi I ever played..., and by that I mean at the same time I played Dream Team and Paper Jam. But still it counts because I played this one first of these three. And it's not the best, but it has the most replay-value. Yeah for being an RPG game this one has a lot of it.
The story is very cool too although somewhat cliché and it has tons of interesting plot-twists that aren't in the way but actually good. This one has the best bros. attacks of the Mario & Luigi games as well easly.
This is in my opinion one of the greatest mario games of all time. You guys probably already know how much I love modern mario party, especially the earlier ones. I could brag about this game and it's mainly due to nostalgia. So there was back in 2014 when I was in Lithuania, and got incredibly sick. However what made that vacation so memorable and nostalgic anyway was thanks to this game. It kinda is the main reason why I love this game so much. Actually, I loved it before as well. Anyway, the soundtrack has definitely left me tons of nostalgia from that Lithuania trip and it shows.
While Mario Party Island Tour isn't my favourite mario party, it's definitely my second favourite. It's even the best classic Nintendo 3DS mario game in my opinion. So why do I love this game so much? Well, the answer is easy for me. It's very unique and creative. The boards in the game are short, but they all have a different aspect of winning them. There's the luck-based Banzai Bill's Mad ...more
So while this game is definitely a huge step-down from Dream Team Bros., I still liked it. Now the bad thing is of course that the story and level design is the same as every other mario platformer.! Grass, desert, beach, and yeah. There's no unique twist to them, it's just simple grass, deserts, etc. Even the story is the Peach gets kidnapped by Bowser cliché and that's all. Heck, even the enemies and boss battles are all from the main series. This kinda makes it remind of Sticker Star.
But thankfully, the music and papercraft battles are two things that makes this game worth buying anyway. The music was so awesomne and it's among the best mario soundtrack in my opinion. The papercraft battles, are in my unpopular opinion the best thing about the game, they feel very different from the normal boss battles and actually require more strategy and thinking. I don't really know why people didn't like the papercraft battles, I mean the normal bosses are just the ones we've already ...more
Am I the only one who actually enjoys this game?
Mario Party: Star Rush is hands down the most original mario party game out there. This game has the second biggest roster in the series and this game has so many different game modes. Toad Scramble, Mario Shuffle and Challenge Tower are my three favourites.
The main mode in the game is Toad Scramble. You take control of a toad and you must rescue stars that have been kidnapped by boss battles. You can also recruit ally characters like Mario, Luigi, etc, and compete through minigames. The boards are very big and you can roam freely around them. There's 15 of them. While only about five of them are good in my opinion, it doesn't matter. This game is excellent.
AWFUL, any Mario flash game is better.
Pure crap too educational
Oh yes it was so good.
This is Donkey Kong, not Mario
Already in the list
One of the worst gamer ever
