Quite possibly America's best-ever rock band, only existing for 18 months at the most creative point in time for the development of that musical form. Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix died, so we will never know what they could have done, but the Hall of Fame careers of Buffalo Springfield's members attest to their greatness.
An older, wiser, and world-weary Neil Young even wrote a song recently about that magical period, "Wish I Was In Buffalo Springfield Again".
