15 Klavier - Rammstein

The song is to be interpreted as a man who keeps the deceased body of his cheating girlfriend locked in the piano room after he murdered her.
But it sounds much, MUCH more poetic and romantic in the song, and isn't as explicit. The cheating is described using a piano metaphor (the man thought the woman played piano only for him, but she also played for someone else). The murder is described with the line "I poured her blood into the fire of my wrath", and throughout the whole song her parents try to enter the room - they ultimately kick in the door. It is not described what they find, but a bad smell is mentioned, and the parents scream and beat at the narrator. The choruses use a double meaning of "to hold your breath". At first, it's describing how enchanting her work on the piano is (leaving the narrator breathless), later on it's literally describing the lack of breath in her lifeless body.
This is one of their most lyrical songs, and has the quality of a great short story. - Martin_Canine
