Top Ten Non-Singles from Marina and The Diamonds's Electra Heart

I really wish she had made this a 6-single album as she had intended initially. It's a phenomenal record, but I'd expect no less from Marina.

The Top Ten

1 Fear and Loathing Fear and Loathing

Unbelievable piece of music. Fine production, eye-opening lyrics, and beautiful vocals. - theOpinionatedOne

2 Homewrecker Homewrecker

I'll never understand why this wasn't a single. It's pure awesomeness. You can dance to it and learn from it. - theOpinionatedOne

Again. How is this a featured list? - phillysports

Yeah. I guess it does. I'm not insulting you or anything. It's just that compared to the lists that usually get featured on this website, a list of the best non-singles from a random musician's album seems kind of random to be featured above the countless number of lists people put out each day. - phillysports

3 Starring Role Starring Role

For the longest time, this was my favorite. It became my coping mechanism after a painful time and the emotion in her voice is so raw. - theOpinionatedOne

4 Lies

The idea of a dubstep ballad might sound God-awful on paper, but Marina makes it sound perfect. - theOpinionatedOne

5 Buy the Stars

Lol! It's the best song on the album. - mood333

6 Bubblegum Bitch

This one's just really catchy and makes you want to awkwardly sing along. - theOpinionatedOne

7 Sex Yeah

This song helped me understand feminism in a way I had overlooked in the past. It's kind of like the Killers also which makes me like it more. - theOpinionatedOne

8 Valley of the Dolls

This was my favorite the first time I heard it, but it's not as good as it sounded the first time. Still awesome though. - theOpinionatedOne

9 Teen Idle

It's easy to understand why people love this song. It's lyrics are among Marina's best. Of course, all her lyrics are amazing but these are special. But the rest of the song is a bit lackluster. Still amazing though. - theOpinionatedOne

The lyrics are so breathtakingly beautiful and extremely relatable.

10 Radioactive

This may be the most generic song Marina has done to date, yet it's still so uniquely Marina that you love it anyway. - theOpinionatedOne

The Contenders

11 The State of Dreaming

I think this is one of the best songs on the album. I love Living Dead too.

I love the way the string arrangement backs up the main melody. It reminds me in some ways of Annie Lennox's "Walking on Broken Glass." - theOpinionatedOne

12 Lonely Hearts Club

"January to December, do you want to be a member? "

13 Hypocrates
14 Living Dead
