The Top Ten
Best song of all time. It's creative, has powerful lyrics and Freddie Mercury is the best singer of all time. - PeeledBanana
SO sick and tired of seeing this at number 1 on the top tens. Freddie and Queen were good, but not the greatest. Even if you think that LZ stole a few licks, The Beatles are far above Queen, along with Jim Morrison, Elvis Presley, Mick Jagger, and even Frank Sinatra were better than Freddie, whose voice absolutely GRATES after about 10 minutes.
Original ha! This is arguably a song ripping off from Taurus. - htoutlaws2012
Umm, a song with a ripped off part in it can't be called original (Taurus by Spirit). - Metal_Treasure
I see your point, but I have always thought of this song as Original. - TheHabsFan
This isn't original. But it isn't ripped off either. Giovanni Battista Granata, Bach, Henry Purcell also played a same kind of melodic line. Its just a common pattern. Did the classical composers rip off each other? Also don't forget Jimmy Page played it before meeting Randy California. He composed it in 1968 when he wrote the song for Cartoone. So, not its not a rip off of Taurus. - zxm
@zxm - look, Taurus by Spirit came out on January 22, 1968. Whatever Jimmy Page wrote in 1968, it wasn't between Jan 1-21, 1968. It was later. - Metal_Treasure
The first metal guitar solo that was based on classical music - Metal_Treasure
My favorite song - EliHbk
It has 5 solos on each instrument of the band, including a bass solo (in 1972! ).
This is more than original. How many songs of the 70s on this list have 5 solos on different instruments? - Metal_Treasure
Monumental and totally original song.
