Top Ten Most Over-hated NFL Players

Playing in the NFL comes with a lot of ridicule. Today we are taking a look at the players who receive the most unnecessary hate.
The Top Ten
1 Lamar Jackson

LamaRB jokes were funny for the first 10 minutes. Now they are wildly overused. If not for injury the Ravens were looking like contenders this season. Lamar has done a lot with very little.

2 Baker Mayfield Baker Reagan Mayfield is an American football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League.

Baker Mayfield is a solid QB and my opinion will most likely never change on that. He may not be a pro bowler but he is a QB who carries a ton of confidence and can win you games.

3 Tom Brady Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr., is a retired American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. Brady is known for being the only quarterback in history to win 7 Super Bowls, and was often considered one of the best quarterbacks of all time. Brady was also frequently considered to be the biggest steal in NFL history as a late 6th round pick. He had previously played for the New England Patriots from 2000 to 2019.

I agree, he is pretty overhated. I'm not a football fan, but some people hate him only because he's good at the sport and are also likely jealous of how good he is.

I had to add him. The clear cut GOAT receives a ton of hate via social media.

4 Jared Goff Jared Thomas Goff is an American football quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. He played college football at California, and was selected by the Rams with the first overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Similar to Baker and Wentz, not the best QB but one that can win you games.

5 Kirk Cousins Kirk Cousins is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League.

Catches a lot of strays because of the contract he signed. Statistically not a bad QB.

6 Carson Wentz Carson Wentz is an American football quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. He played college football at North Dakota State University. He was drafted by the Eagles with the second overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft, becoming the highest drafted quarterback from an FCS school and the highest drafted player from NDSU.

Similar to Baker, not the best QB but one that can win you games.

7 Odell Beckham Odell Beckham Jr. is a NFL wide receiver, playing for the Los Angeles Rams. He is most-known for making an incredible one-handed catch against the Dallas Cowboys. Beckham was drafted 12th overall to the New York Giants.

Understandable why he receives hate but one of the most skilled to ever do it.

8 JuJu Smith-Schuster
9 Eli Manning Elisha Nelson "Eli" Manning is a former American football quarterback who played his entire career for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He is the younger brother of former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.
10 Dak Prescott Rayne Dakota "Dak" Prescott is an American football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League.
The Contenders
11 Antonio Brown Antonio Brown is a former NFL wide receiver and for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFC South Division. He was drafted in the 6th round of the 2010 draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and has also been on the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots. He is a 7x pro bowler, and regarded as a skilled player.

Possibly the most controversial on here. Total clown yes, but that shouldn't affect his all time legacy.

12 Colin Kaepernick Colin Rand Kaepernick (born November 3, 1987) is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. Kaepernick played college football at the University of Nevada, where he was named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Offensive Player of the Year twice. After graduating, he was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. ...read more.
13 Chase Claypool
14 Josh Allen

This is mostly for the stuff we said about him before 2020. Allen is pretty well respected now though.

15 Tim Couch
16 Cole Beasley
17 Joe Flacco Joseph Vincent Flacco is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League.
18 Aaron Rodgers Aaron Charles Rodgers is an American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.
19 Josh Rosen

Dude gets a ton of hate for being a bust but was never in the right situations.

20 Michael Vick Michael Dwayne Vick (born June 26, 1980) is a former American football quarterback who played 13 seasons in the National Football League, primarily with the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football at Virginia Tech and was selected by the Falcons as the first overall pick ...read more.
