Top 10 Most Overhated Movies of the 2000s

Movies that got a lot of hate from the 2000s decade that honestly aren't that terrible. This is subjective so if you think I missed one feel free to add it.
The Top Ten
1 Spider-Man 3

This is actually one of my favourite movies of all time, I love the trilogy, all three are masterpieces, but this one had a darker tone and just was better in my opinion.

First 2 are in my top 5 superhero films and this isn't far off

Way to overhated it's actually one of my favorite movies

Not good, but certainly not as bad as Catwoman.

2 Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

I think that Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace is the most overhated Star Wars movie. Other than the Jar Jar scenes, some Kid Anikan moments, some of Geroge Lucas's racist designs, Natalie Portman's acting, and the midichorian scene, the Phantom Menace wasn't THAT awful. I know it looks like I listed a lot of problems, but most of those problems could be reduced or eliminated through skilled editing of the film. But Attack of the Clones was unsalvagable, cringe-worthy, boring, and destroys Anikan's character. I think that it deserves all the hate it gets. I would say that the Phantom Menace should be here instead, but it's a 90s movie.

In my opinion this movie was great, it's the worst of the first six movies, but ot was still good, the romance had a reason to be there so I find it pointless to hate the movie for it.

My second least favorite movie after Return of the Jedi, but still a very good movie. The prequels in general are overhated.

Lol no. This movie was trash, with the worst dialogue, cgi, and acting in history.

3 Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Sure it's not great. But there was worse that year (looking at you X-Men Origins: Wolverine & Terminator Salvation).

Compared to Dragonball: Evolution; it's a masterpiece!

4 The Incredible Hulk

I actually enjoy this movie. Like SomePersonYouHate Said, it has problems. But it's better then the 2003 Hulk.

Film might not be a masterpiece, but it is a pretty enjoyable Marvel flick.

I remember watching this, and it was a badass movie.

People hate this movie?

5 Garfield: The Movie

I fell asleep during this movie because I'm a cat that loves to snooze.

Garfield looks like a rapist on the cover though

Uh I like this movie it fine if you don't

6 X-Men: The Last Stand

This is my favourite movie

7 High School Musical

Yess. people on TTT and others sites hate it because it's "cliche" and that "It's not REAL Disney." In reality, it's a fun tween/teen movie. It may be a little cheesy, but people act like their generation's Disney didn't have cheesy movies or T.V. shows. This movie (and subsequent sequels) may seem empty or juvenile, but that's because you grew out of this type of thing and don't want to admit it.

All these High School Musical movies suck big time

8 Twilight

75-80% of the hatred for Twilight is because it was popular and teenage girls love it.

9 G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
10 The Adventures of Pluto Nash

This was in 2002? I thought this movie was from the mid-1990s.

The Contenders
11 Watchmen

It's divisive, but not really that hated.

12 Cars

People hate it because of cars 2

13 Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I recently watched it again. Still a sucky movie but not too terrible

14 Speed Racer
15 The Matrix Reloaded

Fans of the original movie screamed for more and we got Reloaded and Revolutions. Very good movies in technical ambition but obviously not a patch on the original. Personally I felt the original story was undermined by the themes of the later movies. They should have left it with the original movie but nobody wanted to.

Not as great as the original, but still enjoyable.

This one doesn't get a lot of hate.

16 Shark Tale
17 Bee Movie

This movie was pretty good when I saw it, not bad.

According To All Known Laws Of Aviation...

Best anime of all time!

18 Shrek the Third

It is the most depressing Shrek movie, but it makes it more interesting. The king died, and Fiona gets pregnant. But it wasn't bad, I just hated the scene where Shrek and Fiona were pampered to replace the king and queen, it was a bit disturbing.

As AnimeDrawer said, since it's the most depressing one it makes it more interesting, the villan had great motivations, the story was so interesting, this is the only one in the franchise too that has some scary scenes (may I mention Shrek's dream).

19 The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl

This was so weird and campy I can't possibly begin to describe it. The kid has the strangest imagination.

This movie is part of my childhood but it not the best childhood movie but it still a good movie

The movie was made up by a kid. The child of the director.

20 The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
21 Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
22 The Matrix Revolutions
23 Little Nicky

I'll never understand the hatred for this film, one of my personal favorites with an excellent soundtrack nevertheless.

Me and my mom like this Adam Sandler movie actually, although it does have some bad parts

This is one of the only good Adam Sandler movies

One of my guilty pleasure films

24 Son of the Mask
25 50 First Dates

This movie is actually one of my favorites

I mean, it was certainly watchable
