Top 10 Most Overhated Music Sub Genres

Sub genres only for this list not main genres. These music sub genres really are.... overhated.
The Top Ten
1 Glam Metal Glam metal is a subgenre of heavy metal that features pop-influenced hooks and guitar riffs, and upbeat rock anthems.

Glam Metal's Musicians intentions weren't good. But their's songs are good. Guns N' Roses, Skid Row, Whitesnake (they're somehow glam metal) have lots of good songs.

They don't dress the best but they their still better then most Death Metal.

2 Post- Grunge

It's not unique but at the same time not as bad as people make it out to be.

3 Nu Metal

I used to give this genre so much crap but it's not that bad actually.

4 Death Metal

I can understand if you don't like Death Growls but you have to admit the instrumentals in death metal are amazing if you want an amazing Death Metal band that isn't just about Death Growls try Opeth you might like them.

5 Black Metal
6 Alternative Metal Alternative metal is a music genre that infuses heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres normally associated with metal.

Mainly by people that debate whenever or it's "real metal".

7 Rap Metal

Granted it's not as good as Trash Metal but it's at least decent.

8 Rapcore

Not my favorite music genre but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

9 Grunge Grunge (sometimes referred to as the Seattle sound) is a subgenre of alternative rock and a subculture that emerged during the mid-1980s.

Granted it it's not the most unique sub genre but it's not the worst either.

10 Glam Rock
The Contenders
11 Metalcore
12 Alternative Rock

I don't think. This is one of the most popular music genres of all time.

13 Industrial Metal

Bruce Dickinson: "We're not like Rammstein" What's wrong with Rammstein!?!

14 Pop- Punk

Kind of overhated but there's more overhated music genres.

15 Power Metal
16 Emo Emo is a style of rock music characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid-1980s hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C., where it was known as "emotional hardcore" or "emocore" and pioneered by bands such as Rites of Spring and Embrace.
17 Screamo
18 Gothic Rock
19 Gothic Metal
20 Emo Metal
21 Punk Metal
22 Gothic Pop
23 Emo Pop
24 Punk Rock Punk rock is a subgenre of rock music. It usually has rebellious lyrics and down stroked power chords played on guitars. Bad Religion, Sex Pistols, and Green Day (actually pop-punk, which is still punk in a way) are a few punk rock bands. The subgenre influenced thrash metal because of it's down stroked guitar playing and other factors.
25 Horror Metal
