The most overrated alt. rock band of all time! - BoredJeff02

I am huge fan of 90s music and I've never seen anyone talk about these guys. They are often forgotten by other popular 90s band such as Nirvan and Pearl Jam. In fact if any 90s bands were overrated, it would be those two I mention. Anyway, point is Smashing Pumpkins barely fit the term overrated. - cjWriter1997

It fits the term well it's over hyped, too much attention and more overrated than Red Hot Chili Peppers. - BoredJeff02

5 Radiohead Radiohead Radiohead are an English rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards, other instruments), Colin Greenwoood (bass guitar), Phil Selway (drums), and Ed O'Brien (guitar).

Eh Nirvana's more overrated. - BoredJeff02

I highly doubt with the amount of (justified, mind you) hatred that these guys get that they're classified as overrated. - Mrveteran

7 Three Days Grace Three Days Grace Three Days Grace is a Canadian rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1997 with a line-up consisting of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst.

No, in fact it is very overrated. They got popular for their generic rock song "I Hate Everything About You" and left no impact on the music industry except for a few bands that are worse than this band itself. If you want a good alternative rock band to come out of the same time as Three Days Grace that is often forgotten, listen to Chevelle. Still going strong and still being what made them good (They might even be better). - cjWriter1997

Eh Chevelle is more sell out like and their also known for Never Too Late, Animal I Have Become, Pain, Riot, Just Like You, Home, Break, The Good Life their not just known for I Hate Everything About You their at least better than garbage like Hinder, 3 Doors Down, Chevelle and Saliva which also did not impact the music industry. If there's still forgotten how come singles like I Am Machine, Fallen Angel, Painkiller and more reaching the billboard charts quickly? - BoredJeff02

Not as overrated compared to The Smashing Pumpkins. - BoredJeff02

8 Red Hot Chili Peppers Red Hot Chili Peppers The Red Hot Chili Peppers is a Californian funk-rock and alternative rock band, that was founded in 1983. ...read more.

Every single one of their songs sounds exactly the same and none of them are anything close to resembling musicality. They all begin and end with the same dull guitar line which is barely present throughout the actual song. Why the same radio stations are repeatedly playing them mostly within the same couple of hours is beyond. Basically if you've heard one song from them you've technically listened to their entire discography as there is little to no difference between songs.

Yeah, and their singer (Anthony Kiedis) is often out of tune, on studio versions. - Metal_Treasure

Beyond... overrated. - BoredJeff02

Most overrated Christian Rock band for sure. Not even a fan of the genre but these guys really aren't that spectacular. - cjWriter1997

Neither is Stone Temple Pilots their not spectacular either. - BoredJeff02

Eh Muse's more overrated in comparison. - BoredJeff02

Like Smashing Pumpkins, they barely fit the criteria of being overrated. I mean, no one really talks about them and STP fans usually don't make too much of a fuss about them. - cjWriter1997

Once again, I disagree. Despite their one song Plush, most people don't really know much about them. You could say they've gotten more popular since Scott Weiland died but so did Bowie, and calling him overrated would get you laughed at. - cjWriter1997

Don't even get my started on how overrated this band is... - BoredJeff02
