They are great but I don't think they are overrated - just compare them with their counterparts from the same era: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones.
Pink Floyd were never that popular but I personally think Pink Floyd are better than all these 3 bands. Which makes me think Pink Floyd are rather underrated.

This is a tricky one. The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall are two of the most successful albums of all time. But they are both great, particularly the former. However not many know of their true prog defining albums such as Animals and Meddle.

They aren't that overrated

This was actually a topic of discussion at the dinner table recently. My family loves the Beatles and I started talking about how they overrated. I never said they were bad, though. The Beatles are great. They're just not *that* great.

They never get old they were a phenomenon that will never happen again. I have never turned off a Beatle song before it was completed. My children and grandchildren all enjoy them, maybe not as much as I do.

I love the Beatles A LOT. I just prefer Queen.

Yup, extremely overrated, especially in the context of the numerous plagiarism cases. Because of their large-scale plagiarism I currently don't even think they are great.
