Most Overrated Classical Composers

I listen to a classical radio station weekly, so I can point out which composers get too much credit.
The Top Ten
1 Johannes Brahms Johannes Brahms was a German composer, pianist and conductor of the Romantic period. Born in Hamburg into a Lutheran family, he spent much of his professional life in Vienna.

The problem with Brahms and Strauss is the same: their music is not that valuable as a piece of art, just a good amusement to listen to.

2 Giacomo Puccini

Now this list is "Edgy".

4 Johann Strauss II

I think most of his works are forgettable.

6 John Williams John Williams is an American film composer. He often collaborated with Steven Spielberg on his films.
7 Igor Stravinsky

Everyone calls him the best composer of the 20th century.

I'm from Hungary, so probably he's played less on the radio in other countries, but over here he overshadows every other Hungarian composers with the possible exception of Bartók.
