Top 10 Most Overrated Disney Movies of the 21st Century

Not all of these movies are bad. They’re just over praised.
The Top Ten
1 Frozen

Frozen Can Be A Decent Movie

Overhated you mean.

2 Howl’s Moving Castle

If Tales From Earthsea is the Cars 2 of Studio Ghibli, then Howl’s Moving Castle is their Monsters University. What a terrible movie! And the fact that it was released by the studio with great movies like Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke is very upsetting! This movie is exactly what I was worry about when watching anime! It focuses on showing us how pretty these environments are and how amazing the animation is instead of having the story make sense! The story is incoherent! It takes too many turns! It does have any focus! If you could see me right now, you’d see that my face is red with anger! This movie made me angry! I expect more from this studio! Again, it’s not as bad as Tales From Earthsea, but it’s still very bad!

3 Moana

I thought this movie was pretty good, I loved a lot of things about it. But I couldn't give it higher than an 8 bccause this movie really has a ton of cliches. It makes fun of them but they go through with them unironically at the same time, unless this movie is on multiple layers of irony. Wait what?

Looks like someone was dared to make a movie with as many clichés as possible. And this is what they made. Moana is a good movie, but it is very original! It’s almost nothing but clichés! The story is very unoriginal! Moana’s grandma passing away which gives the main character the motivation to go on an adventure is something that has been done many times! But at least Moana actually has a reason to leave her home unlike some other princess. The chicken was very annoying and contributed absolutely nothing! There’s also a twist involving the villain at the end. Te Ka turns out to be Te Fiti. I’m really tired of Disney putting twist villains in their movies! Even in Coco I got a little frustrated with it! Was that a spoiler? Anyway, what I really like about this movie is the characters. They get some pretty great development and have great interactions. I like the movie, but it’s not as great as everyone says it is.

4 Beauty and the Beast

I hate Emma Watson with a passion! How does she keep getting acting jobs? Even in Harry Potter I thought she was terrible! This is her performance yet! She ruined one of the best Disney princesses ever! Yet still manages to be a better princess than Ariel and Peach. Which isn’t saying much since Ariel is a jerk and Peach is the worst character of all time. People say how visually impressive this remake is. Did we watch the same movie? The effects look terrible! But still better than Henry Caville’s CGI mouth in Justice League. And yes. I used this same comparison twice. Why did this even need to be made? The original Beauty and the Beast was already phenomenal! This was just a cash grab! And a lazy one! And there’s gonna be a Lion King remake, an Aladdin remake, a Mulan remake, a Dumbo remake, and a Winnie the Pooh adaptation! They need to stop it with these!

This site thinks Emma Watson is better than Vivian Leigh, Julie Andrews, Bette Davis, Elizabeth Taylor, Diane Keaton, Katharine AND Audrey Hepburn, and Maggie Smith. (Seriously, you guys think she is a better Harry Potter actress than Maggie Smith? ) What a joke.

Ok you hate this movie, the top ten website is pointless. You hate it because it's a modern version piss off all you.

The CGI was awful! Although, the sets were nice

5 Thor: Ragnarok
6 An Extremely Goofy Movie

A perfect example of a movie trying too hard to be hip and cool with the kids. The first Goofy Movie was simple and had a heartfelt story. This was just annoying! What happened here? Goofy becomes absolutely unlikeable! He used to be silly and funny at the same time. Here, he is unbearably unfunny and annoying! The villain of the film was just a bland rich jerk who didn’t really seem that intimidating. The only really evil thing he did was he tried to kill Max at the end. So that’s something. They try to make us feel bad for Goofy after Max says he wants him to leave him alone. However, with the way he’s been acting, I totally side with Max! They tried to do this same thing in Cars 2 with Mater and it failed there as well! Extremely Goofy Movie is an extremely stupid movie!

7 Lilo & Stitch

I wasted my vote on BATB 2017. But seriously, this film blows. Howl's Moving Castle is way better than this crap. The series was awesome. This movie was trash.

Bring in the hate! I do like Lilo and Stitch, but I also think it doesn’t deserve the praise that it gets. People call it one of the greatest Disney films of all time. I don’t think it is. Why I really love about this film are the scenes involving Lilo and Nani. It really feels like a real sister relationship. I like the way the movie depicts family. It’s done very well. The thing that kind of pulls me out of it is the whole alien subplot. Stitch is a great character, except when he’s on the loose in a Disney theme park attraction, but the alien subplot doesn’t make a lot of sense to me and feels out of place. We have this whole thing with a little girl doing hula and spending time with her older sister in Hawaii, and then aliens! Where did that come from? This is a good movie, but it’s no masterpiece.

8 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Awww you don't like it because the femihitlers made it with a female main character like Doctor Who, a new Ghost Busters.

Rogue One was trash! The more I watch this the worse it gets. The characters are some of the most bland characters ever put in film. I didn’t care what happened to them at the end. There was nothing they did in the film that made me want them to make it out alive. They try to throw in so much nostalgia into this so they can appeal to fanboys. R2-D2 and C-3PO had no reason to be there. That cameo was very forced. The CGI Tarkin and Leia were distractingly bad! But still better than Henry Caville’s CGI mouth in Justice League. Darth Vader doesn’t appear for very long, but his scenes are cool. Especially the ending. I just wish that the movie had better characters and better scenes! There was this one scene when a stromtrooper missed even though the character was just standing a few feet in front of him! The character didn’t even make an attempt of dodging! He was just standing still and the stormtrooper still missed! It’s so stupid! It’s better than Attack of the Clones, ...more

9 Wall-E

Pixar has made great movies, good movies, okay movies, and bad movies. Wall-E is in the “good” category. But most people classify it as great. The scenes involving Wall-E and Eve are my favorites. I love their relationship. Seeing them together always makes me happy. They are so cute together. They barely say anything, but we can still feel their connection. When Eve was worried about Wall-E at the end, we can tell how worried she is without saying anything. What I DON’T like about this film are the humans! These are some terrible and forgettable characters! I really hated having to look at them. Every time they were on screen, I just wanted those scenes to be over so we could get back to Adam and Eve. I mean, Wall-E and Eve. It’s kind of sad that the only likeable characters in the movie are the robots. There are many things that don’t make sense! How does a plant survive in space? Why was Eve sent to Earth to find any kind of life if the Axiom ship wants to prevent the ...more
