Most Overrated Disney Villains

YakkoWakkoDot
I love Disney and their villains but sometimes they get way to much praise then they deserve.

The Top Ten

1 Scar Scar Scar is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 32nd animated feature film The Lion King.

The funny thing is Scar's role in the movie. He ends up acting like Maleficent or Ratigan, where it seems like all the other characters know he evil, but he is written like Jafar. It makes the characters seem like idiots when they trust him after two situations, one where he eats Zazu and one where he is revealed to be lying for years. Plus, he's the only villain that tells the heroes the true intentions he has. Others are revealed through their actions, or because the characters add two and two together. Scar tells the others that he murdered Mufasa.

It get annoying when you keep hearing SCAR IS THE BEST DISNEY VILLAIN EVER. The reasons he is number one though is when he finally gets his power he acts like a child but people keep saying he's the best villain ever. by the way he isn't a bad villain. - YakkoWakkoDot

Scar is the villain ever! And he also the best character in the movie.

My gosh his motivation is lame. He just wants to kill gorillas and that's it and for some reason he's one of the most well known Disney villains while Ratigan and Prince John and Sir Hiss are forgotten. - YakkoWakkoDot

3 Frollo

He's not a bad villain at all but if he isn't on a top disney villains list or not close to 1 his fans will get mad. Then most of the people who like this character a lot always hate on the other Disney villains because they aren't complex as him. Just because characters aren't complex, doesn't mean they are cliches. - YakkoWakkoDot

Judge Claude Frollo is my most favorite Disney villain of all time! He's a man of character, he's tall, dark, and very handsome, unlike that wretch Phoebus! Frollo is unlike any other Disney villain I've ever known. His voice is so scary and sexy, and his gothic appearance is stunning! By the way, I'm not gonna lie to you: Frollo's my kind of villain. You rock, Frollo!

What's really annoying is how keeps ending up on all the UNDERrated villians lists

I really don't get the whole complex thing; he just has the hots for someone and that now he's pure. Big whoop, Hugo Strange thought he was pure and he was just a generic "they must die"

Same with frollo; no reason why he hates gyspies, he's a jerk straight from the beginning, there's no character change at all. I prefer the book Verison

4 Ursula Ursula Ursula is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 28th animated feature film The Little Mermaid.
5 Maleficent Maleficent

Yeah, doesn't do anything except turn into a dragon and engage Phillip in a rather epic battle. Not to mention cast the curse that drives the whole plot in the first place.

6 Lyle Tiberius Rourke Lyle Tiberius Rourke

Hey look it's another guy like Ratcliffe. The guy who wants to destroy an entire civilization just for money. by the way even though the villain is overrated, the film itself is underrated. - YakkoWakkoDot

7 Governor Ratcliffe

Just like Clayton his motivation is bland. All he wants is gold. He is just some greedy guy and I expected more from Disney. - YakkoWakkoDot

8 Madame Medusa Madame Medusa

Her motivation is bland. All she does is trap a little girl just so she can get a diamond for lots of money. - YakkoWakkoDot

9 Shan Yu Shan Yu

I'm pretty sure people only rank this guy so high on "favorite villains" lists is solely because of the movie he's from.

This is the most forgettable Disney villain ever yet there are still people who put him on their top tens. - YakkoWakkoDot

10 Syndrome Syndrome Syndrome (born as Buddy Pine) is the primary antagonist in The Incredibles. He wanted to be super like the others, even though he had no powers. He was Mr. Incredible's #1 fan, and dubbed himself "Incrediboy," but he was rejected by Mr. Incredible. Angered after being refused, he developed an evil plan ...read more.

This guy is so fake it's disgusting. I mean, he creates robots and sends them to attack the city just so he can stop them and PRETEND to be a hero. That's so lame!

The Contenders

11 Captain Hook Captain Hook Captain James Hook is a fictional character, the antagonist of J. M. Barrie's play Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up and its various adaptations, in which he is Peter Pan's archenemy.

I actually like him. Despite being a villain, he's pretty funny. He makes me laugh so much when the crocodile comes for him and starts to panic. I don't see Peter Pan without him. He's one of my favorite Disney characters/villains, along with McLeach.

12 Si and Am

These cats are annoying. Trying to just mess things up for Lady and then she gets in trouble while they get off scott free. They were only in the movie for that one song and some how they are some of the most well known Disney villains. - YakkoWakkoDot

13 Ronno

I guess he was kind of cool in the original but in the sequel he is so annoying trying to act all tough and always failing. Characters like that are so annoying! - YakkoWakkoDot

14 Morgana

This is really just a rip off Ursula from that sequel of The Little Mermaid. She's even voiced by the same person. The only difference from her than Ursula is that she is green and skinny. LAZY! - YakkoWakkoDot

15 Sid

He doesn't do much, except torture toys for his own pleasure.

This is easily one of the worst lists I've ever seen on here

Sid isn't even that much of a villain...
Why is he considered the best one?

16 Jafar Jafar
17 The Beast

He's not even a villain, so why is he here? He was just a cursed prince who falls in love with Belle and becomes human again.

Really? Whoever put him in should look at the title.

18 Turbo/King Candy

This guy robbed a child of her whole life, self, did anything and everything he could to prevent her from getting it back. And all to keep his own ego fed. Yet he's got such a huge fanbase- what gives?

19 Gaston Gaston Gaston is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 30th animated feature film Beauty and the Beast.

He's not much of a villain. He's just conceited and arrogant.
