He was a talented yet troubled grunge performer. Kurt Cobain became a rock legend in the 1990s with his band. He committed suicide at his Seattle home in 1994.

Seriously talented dude becuase the way he sang was so empathetic, so dang passionate and Kurt had a propensity to make that guitar scream with ferociousness and sound so bloody amazing, but then occasionally pull out a ballad at the turn of switch. He played simple, but very, very effective music. Kurt's not fake/contrived like the Scott Stapp's and Chad Kroger's of this world. They're overrated.

But to me Chris and Layne are the best grunge/post-grunge singers. By the best I mean they are the singers with the best vocal skills and most singing talent.
