Most Overrated Guitar Riffs
Please don't get mad over this list. I have never created any negative kind of list. This is my first. Overrated is just a thing of opinion. Doesn't mean this has to be actual. It depends upon you. But I think these riffs are overrated. I have also included some guitar riffs that I love madly. Plus overrated doesn't mean its bad.
Its on top. Cause it has been called one of the greatest guitar riffs. But if you dig some more then you'll find there are greater riffs of Ritchie Blackmore. Its not just me.
Overrated but not more than You Really Got Me's riff.
Its been called one of the greatest guitar riffs. Yeah its great but I think it is more famous cause its easy.
Top on many guitar riffs charts. Its not Jimmy Page's best guitar riffs. Maybe his 4 or five. But riffs like Kashmir, Heartbreaker or Communication Breakdown sounds better to me.
Good but it gets more credit. I think it is so famous cause it has been stated one of the earliest hard rock guitar riffs.
Its not Billie's best guitar riff. (at least not for me). Riffs like Holiday, Whatsername, when I come around are much better.
Its not very overrated. But a lot of people confuse this riff between the solo. Says "the solo is rip off". While a lot of people vote this song thinking it's the solo.
But anyway, I added it mainly cause it has some rip off parts.Thought they won the lawsuit.
I like Back In Black or Highway to Hell but this is quite overrated to be in top 20.
This riff is credited to Kirk Hammett. But anyway, I think Master of Puppets is way much better than this.
Heart Shaped Box is better
Snow (Hey You) is much better. Although this sounds good too.
Not on top cause I personally don't think its overrated. But people say its very overrated to be on top. That's why I had to add it.
The so called "circular riff" is a ripoff of Eric Clapton from Cream's "Badge".
The most obnoxious riff in the history of music.
This is a cool riff but Megadeth has a lot of better ones. It's their most popular song but far from their best
