Top Ten Most Overrated Movies of 2015
And I thought the first Avengers was bad. I thought maybe they could pull it together in this one, but they just made it worse.
The movie sucked. Marvel movies are all filled with boring and childish jokes. They produce the same crap every year
This movie is awful, it is dull and bland. The Dark World is better than this movie but it still is BAD.
It was mostly enjoyable, but the first Avengers movie was a lot better
What a poor movie. I ruined an hour and a half of my Easter watching it and gorging myself with candy. The kids in the theater weren't laughing, nor did they seem amused. They just stared blankly. And my dad fell asleep.
There's no bad guy and a good guy, just like Inside Out
Who came up with this idea? This goes to prove Jim Parsons is only good in TBBT.
What are you people smoking this movie is awesome
I will admit that this movie has a huuge problem with originality. However, the way I see it, the basic priority of it was to bring in characters like Finn, Rey, and Kylo Ren, (the list goes on) and make them interesting. In this case, story was less of a priority, and now that these new characters have been properly established (my opinion), Episode VIII can have a much better story line. That being said; JJ, if your'e reading this, don't listen to the haters, man. You did well for a sequel to something that is inimitable in how good it is. You definitely deserve at least some recognition for that.
Even though I do like this movie, I think Rogue One is better. The reason I prefer Rogue One was it was original and didn't try to be something else. This movie just seemed like a rehash of Episode 4. A bigger Death Star, a droid carrying secret plans the "Empire" wants, the death of a legendary character, etc. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed watching The Force Awakens but it just seems to lack originality.
There is so much wrong with this movie. Terrible pacing, superficial characters, weak antagonist, mediocre script, and dozens of plot holes. The fact that some people went to the cinemas multiple times to watch this movie baffles me. It was still an entertaining film, but nothing about it stood out as spectacular.
If I give ratings, I only give 2.4/10. The lack of plot and when I watch it, I feel want to sleep because it was boring, bad actors and actress and Disney Made It. I totally hate Disney because they buy Marvel so they will more rich. Star Wars The Force Awakens is another dumb Disney movie.
All disaster movies are the same. If you don't like things blowing up and major world landmarks getting destroyed, there is nothing in this movie.
Everyone that didn't know what the San Andreas plate was though this movie had something to do with Grand Theft Auto
A film when it is called overrated doesn't mean it is bad.
Good movie. Curse the guy who put the film in this list.
Fan-girls are never the first ones to stop and realize how good (or in this case, bad) a series is once you move past the "hot guys" or whatever they flock to see these movies for. I don't swear by critics' opinions but I do think 111 of the world's most respected movie critics have what it takes to recognize when a movie has major faults.
This was like the best movie ever (after Hunger Games and Maze Runner, of course).
I enjoyed this movie a lot.
This is an inspired story so please don't say it is bad because it is false, this is a movie! And I love it
It was released in 2014 but still worst movie
Inaccurate facts. Full of false facts.
Still the best movie I've seen.
I actually enjoyed this movie considerably. That being said, I wouldn't consider it to be overrated given it's consistently mixed-poor reviews.
This movie was not even scary. The acting was also bad on the adults. However, the child actors were very good.
Did Poltergeist need a remake?
Don't get me wrong it was a good film but people act like it's the greatest and most emotional Pixar film of all time. Personally Toy Story (The trilogy in general) is the most emotional and best out of all of the Pixar films. Sure Inside Out had its moments and was good but it isn't the grand Jewel of a film lots of people say it is. Also when this film is higher than Blade Runner (5th favorite film of all time) on the IMDb top 250 something is wrong.
This movie got a 98% on RottenTomatoes, which is the rating it deserves. It really is Disney's best movie in my opinion. Great plot, interesting story, likable characters, and the colors just POP! It's not perfect, but why so much hate? It's not overrated in my opinion, it DESERVES all that praise.
It's a great film and it's not overrated, fifty shades of grey should be here instead because I kept on hearing a bunch of pervert fans of the book (Which is also overrated trash), saying OH MY GOSH THIS IS SO GOOD
Honestly, it wasn't as great as people said, but not terrible. Had no effect on me except for reminding me of my rotten middle school years.
Honestly, Disney-Pixar films such as Big Hero 6 or Brave were more emotionally potent to me. At least the animation was colorful and fun.
This movie was AMAZING. But, not as good as number 1.
I hate pitch perfect.
Definitely overrated! As well as the book
Should Be Number One
People say that this is a "perfect" film all the time and that there was a story. Remind me again what the story was?
This movie doesn't get the credit it deserves, easily a contender for best movie of the year so far.
Style over Substance. Needs more than just action scenes to be considered good
This movie is at least better than The Force Awakens and Avengers.
I saw this movie in the theater with my 2 best friends. I thought it was just ok and had a few good moments but wasnt really anything that special. My friends though were blown away by it and I just thought it was funny but it wasnt that funny
I saw a commercial for it and it was flipping disturbing.
Best bloody movie ever
If you put it next to Maleficent, this Cinderella is under-rated mainly because it's radically non revisionist.
This is anything BUT over-rated. What with people still babbling on about Frozen and to a lesser extent Big Hero 6.
Same thing as animated version, but worse.
It would seem that Fantastic 4 just was cut out to be something you could place on the big screen...
I watched this in theaters with my family, and I thought the underwater part was great and the land part was terrible.
This movie is actually underrated.
This movie tried too hard to be funny.
Rubbish film
I love this movie. Don't get me wrong. But I expected more. I feel like I only truly love this movie because it was Paul Walkers last. I like 5 more but not 6. It was great. But I wouldn't say overrated, but more like didn't live up sadly. It was great not amazing
The movie as a whole was terrible, It felt really overrated with a story that dosen't make sense and the biggest reason the movie made such a big box office smash was because Paul Walker Died.
For those who like brainless action this movie is for you.
Most overrated animated movie, along with Home.
This was not as funny as Despicable Me 2
I hate this movie.
Number 1 please!
People at my school are like: "Wow, you haven't seen this movie?! IT WAS SO AMAZING! " I saw the trailer, I thought: "Nope, nope, nope, nopenopenopenope."
It's underrated it's great and doesn't deserve all of the hate
It got one star on rotten tomatoes
So mad max and inside out are overrated but the number one on the box are underrated? I mean it was okay, some parts were good, but a movie than is better than jurassic park only in the last 15 minutes are underrated?
This movie isn't overrated, but it's not underrated either.
This was terrible. Boring with annoying characters. Nothing ever really happens in this movie and the plot is dumb and barely even focuses on the dinosaurs. Waste of time and shouldn't have made the money it did.
This isn't overrated! It's one of the best movies of the year (exept Hunger Games and Maze Runner.)
Should be #1 cause it's sucks and people thought it was good just because it was made by the Wachowskis who also made The Matrix
IKR! For the standards of videos' reception of very well-liked YouTubers such as AniMat and E-Rod, Strange Magic gets too much praise for how it has one-dimensional, romantic covers of classic songs. Bob Marley is so awesome. Strange Magic's fanbase is racist.
What's next? In the later 2000s, Zac Efron is Q. and Vanessa Hudgens is Margo?
I enjoyed it but it just didn't live up to my hype. I expected better. Also, Leonardo Di Caprio sucked for the first time ever and I couldn't hear Tom Hardy even speak!
Futile, glacial pacing and nihilistic. Beautiful cinematography and some good sequences but that's about it.
Just incredibly boring. I looked at my watch for more than half the movie.
Probably the most overrated movie of the decade so far. It started off great but after the first hour or so it completely disintegrated. One of the most overrated film adaptations, and totally Oscar bait; family melodrama with a child at the center of the plot. Adding a cute child at the center of a family melodrama is a cheap way of attracting critics, terrible.
The film itself was just way to melodramatic. Especially the acting. I've seen way better films.
