Most Overrated NBA Players

The Top Ten

1 LeBron James LeBron Raymone James is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. LeBron has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and the Lakers.

Lebron James, the most overrated players in this era. Imagine that Kobe playing with KG and T-Mac in his prime, easy huh? This is just what Lebron did. And he was playing in east conference if you know what it mean. But what the F... this boy left Miami after terribly defeat by Spurs? Knowing that D-Wade starting physically decline? Yeah...act like he's trying bring one champ for Cleveland. They got Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, again, another big 3! You still think he's one of greatest players? Take a look about what he been through. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

I gotta say that, those media like ESPN overdeify Lebron badly. He is good player but never close to the top tier players like MJ. And slightly worse than those underrated players like TD.

You think leBron is overrated have you seen this guy stephen curry

He lost 6 of 9 nba titles and if he didn't play with Dywane Wade & Kyrie Irvin he would have lost the other 3

2 Jeremy Lin Jeremy Shu-How Lin is an American professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association.

trash

3 Carmelo Anthony Carmelo Kyam Anthony is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association.

Never did anything remarkable, yet people say he's as good as players like LeBron and Dwade

Selfish selfish selfish

Not really. - Zakattack2

4 Bill Russell William Felton "Bill" Russell is an American retired professional basketball player. Russell played center for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association from 1956 to 1969.

Biggest winner in sports history. Not overrated or underrated

How in the world can you say a guy who won 11 championships in 13 seasons is overrated?

Bill russell can't be overrated if he won 11 finals

Are you kidding me

5 Blake Griffin Blake Austin Griffin is an American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association.
6 Anthony Bennett
7 Yao Ming Yao Ming is a Chinese basketball executive and retired professional basketball player who played for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association and the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association.

He's in China working at a factory that makes those drink umbrellas half the week and rubber dongs the rest of the time - Cush77

He was so trash! I don't even know how or why he is in the hall of fame. - Zakattack2

How can a guy who is 7-6 average just 9.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks throughout his career? Dennis Rodman was 6-7 and averaged 13.1 rebounds for his career. The only reason he was so good was because of his height.

He is tall, that is all.

8 Greg Oden Gregory Wayne Oden Jr. is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Jiangsu Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association.
9 Derrick Rose Derrick Martell Rose is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association.

Plays to fast and out of control.

He isn't as clutch as people say and even though he hit some very difficult shots, he has lost a ton of them too. He most generally isn't the goat, just as he isn't the 2nd best player of all time. A guy who won 5 championships, not being the best player of the team in 3 of them can't be called a top 2 player. He also was extremely inefficient and a terrible teammate. Personally I think he is a top 5 player all time just not top 2.

He is the most overrated player of all time. His career field goal percentage is 45%. His clutch percentage is around 32%. He has always been surrounded by great players during his championship runs. When he wasn't, his team missed the playoffs.

Very, very overrated. He might of got 81 points once, and I respect that, but he's only won 1 MVP. Michael Jordan won about 5 and Kobe is more overrated than him!

Rapist, selfish, cocky.. just not a good man and not a great player.

The Contenders

11 Dwight Howard Dwight David Howard is an American professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association.

Could dunk and block and not much else. 42 percent from the line. Really?

He sucks. Should have retired after the dunk contest years ago

Have you ever heard of a guy named Chris Webber?

Where is lebron - pranavthegenius

12 Allen Iverson Allen Ezail Iverson is an American retired professional basketball player who played for 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association.

If he would actually practice he could have become a good player. Now he is not even a top fifty player.

yeah ill give you this one I mean he is not good ne more I mean he is fast but not the best and people talk about him like he can really play ball also vince carter should be 2nd I mean he is the same with allen they use to be good but not ne more - ballaboi17

13 Vince Carter Vincent Lamar "Vince" Carter is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association.
14 Michael Jordan Michael Jeffrey Jordan, also known by his initials, MJ, is an American retired professional basketball player.

Plagued against no competition at his position and couldn't win a title until he was surrounded by all stars

All great players who won championships had help from all star teammates.

Take away Scottie Pippen and he has no titles! Did not win until Scottie Pippen came and Phil Jackson took over as coach.

MJ is the GOAT. Yes, you can say what you want like the 90's teams were overrated and he had help but EVERY all time great has had help. MJ had Scottie Pippen, Phil Jackson, Dennis Rodman, and Horace Grant. Magic Koh son had Kareem and Worthy. LeBron James had Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, and Shane Battier. Wilt Chamberlain had help from Jerry West, Kareem Abdul Jabbar had help from Magic, Worthy, and Oscar Robertson, Oscar Robertson had Kareem, Jerry West had Elgin Baylor and Wilt Chamberlain, Tim Duncan had Tony Parker, Kawhi Leonard, David Robinson, and Manu Ginobli, Shaq had Kobe and Dwayne Wade, Kobe had Shaq, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Lamar Odom, Julius Erving had Moses Malone and vice versa. Hakeem Olajuwon was the only player to not have help because no one good beat him and the Magic weren't that good and even so he had Clyde Drexler. Garnett, Pierce, and Allen had each other. Stephen Curry had Draymond Green, Iguodala, and Klay Thompson. Isiah Thomas has Joe ...more

15 Stephen Curry Wardell Stephen Curry II is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. Many players and analysts have called him the greatest shooter in NBA history. He is one of the most beloved, as well as hated, stars in the NBA today.

Blew a 3-1 lead by himself

He’s trash compared to Lebron. For sure not one of the greats. Only bandwagoners like him. And no, I’m not a Lebron or Cavs fan. I’m a Lakers fan. Just dumb always running into people who say Steph is the greatest of all time. - Tommy_99

16 Patrick Ewing Patrick Aloysius Ewing (born August 5, 1962) is a Jamaican-American retired Hall of Fame basketball player and current head coach of the Georgetown University men's basketball team.

Why Is He At #2 - FettiMC

17 Bill Walton

Avg 13 point and 10 rebounds for career-? Not Hall of Fame numbers?
Did have 1 good year (resulting in (Teamwork Championship)
Gets NBA credit for his college years.

18 Dirk Nowitzki Dirk Werner Nowitzki is a German professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association.

Dirk is not overrated or so is every superstar. His best help was Jason Terry and Shawn Marion. That was his team besides him. He got beat in a rigged 2006 finals. Look at his competition:Shaq, Dwyane Wade, and the Heat. Then the Heat in the big 3 era. All other champions didn't carry trash to the playoffs for an entire career

To people who do not play basketball, dirk is underrated. But to people who know how to play basketball, he is completely overrated. He got hot one postseason and won the finals. Other than that, he is just good at recieving votes telling him he is great, but his performance on the court tells a different tell. Great on offense, weak on defense and rebounding. I personally never seens a 7 footer weaker on defense and rebounding than dirk other than yao.

One the most overrated players in the history of the nba! His scoring numbers wouldn't be that impressive if not for 3pt line and phantom foul calls resulting in undeserved free points!

A rookie stoped him before lol

19 Bill Laimbeer
20 Kyle Korver Kyle Elliot Korver is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association.

Lebrun sucks even more but he sucks to

21 Magic Johnson Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. is a retired American professional basketball player who played point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association for 13 seasons.

His being a womanizer or not has nothing to do with his basketball skills.

He is the worst because he is a womanizer

What is wrong with you Magic Johnson can:
Play ANY spot on the court
Is excellent on both ends
He is the GOAT of playmaking
there's nothing he can't do in Basketball
He played Center when Kareem was injured and scored 40 points
He has the 2nd highest amount of triple doubles (Oscar Robertson is first)
He is the 2nd or 3rd Greatest Player of All Time

22 James Harden James Edward Harden, Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association.

The only thing he is good at is getting fouled. And making his beard look perfect.

Travels, flops to get foul calls, and still he doesn’t even shoot good percentages, takes way to many contested threes

Flops bad on d... take away free throws and he averages 20 a game. Good but not mvp

23 Shaquille O'Neal Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal, nicknamed Shaq, is a retired American professional basketball player who is currently an analyst on the television program Inside the NBA. He is known for his fun, friendly personality, and is one of the most beloved athletes of all time.

Overhyped to the point where he is only for use as children's entertainment.

A good player but nowhere near how good some people say he is

27 Russell Westbrook Russell Westbrook Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association.
28 Kevin Durant Kevin Wayne Durant is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association. He has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, and the Nets. He was MVP of the 2017 and 2018 NBA Finals.

The only good thing he ever did was signing with the Warriors because he couldn't lead a team himself.

29 Giannis Antetokounmpo Giannis Antetokounmpo is a Greek professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association.

When he drives, people step out of the way. The person who made this list is probably like a Clippers or Hawks fan, because most of the people on this list are very good players. And those teams haven't been doing too well lately, so he/she is salty.

30 David Robinson David Maurice Robinson is an American former professional basketball player, who played center for the San Antonio Spurs in the National Basketball Association for his entire career.
31 Ron Artest
32 Draymond Green

Devin booker is way better

Devin Booker who averaged 24 ppg loses an all star appearance to a guy who almost averages single digits in points.

33 Karl-Anthony Towns Karl-Anthony Towns Jr. is a Dominican-American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association. He played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Greatest rebounder ever
