Most Overrated Steven Universe Characters

The show itself is overrated. Some characters are ridiculously overrated, even bad ones. Though I like them, I'm being very honest here.

Everyone's obsessed over how "smol" and "cute" she is and it's honestly so annoying. She's my favorite character but the new her is VERY overrated(I was in love with her since I got into SU, which was in early 2015, so I fell in love with the old Peridot). I wish more of the love for her was for her when she had her limb enhancers. At least she was a nice character going in the right direction, the crewniverse messed up when they took away Peridot's limb enhancers.

Her character was handled very well in the Barn Arc (and before that). Now she's just comic relief who occaisionally does something somewhat useful.

She's great but kind of overrated. Most people just like her because of her Invader Zim-esque personality and her size.

I just voted because if she's overrated, that means she gets more fans. She gets more Clout

2 Lapis Lazuli

I don't understand why everyone likes her. She's always so rude and mean and in one of the recent episodes (spoilers ahead) Lapis left pumpkin peridot and Steven acting like she didn't care she even took the barn leaving Peridot living in the bathroom again! (Sorry had to get that off my chest lol)

It makes me mad that everyone feels so sorry for her. She literally trapped jasper in an unstable fusion, which she seemed to feel sorry for in alone at sea. Then, Jasper begs her to be malachite, and she begins to blame jasper for her problems. How stupid.

So overrated, she doesn't do that much to the plot, and yet she gets more praise than Steven himself sometimes.

How is Peridot, the best character in the show, more overrated than Lapis, the worst character in the show?

Nope Pearl deserves every single amount of love that she is given

She's overrated and she looks like if Lois Griffin used Photoshop.

Okay my friend is WAY too obsessed with Garnet! She's making me really angry, because she said "Pearl is so rude and annoying! She has OK vocals, but that's about it. She's too jealous and mean! " -um EXCUSE ME! PEARL IS THE BEST GEM!

More overrated than Peridot, actually.

5 Rose Quartz

Rose is underrated actually. She gets too much hate and is underapreciated.

Rose, just like Pink Diamond was a terrible person

6 Jasper

Actually, peridot and lapis have too. Especially peridot, and yet she gets so much overrated love.

She's done so many bad things to the gems,I'm surprised she's gotten loads of attention.She's also at the underrated side.

7 Steven Universe

He's an annoying little kid who doesn't have any character development in the show whatsoever. He's not a good main character. Having him in every single episode is tiring.

Always the main character is overrated. And shut up because Peridot is the best thing in my life!

Okay Steven isn't extremely overrated compared to numbers 1 and 2.Just a bit.

I hate the "Steven has to be in every Episode" rule

8 Blue Pearl

She has only appeared in a few episodes and had a few lines, but she is worshiped by the fandom.

12 Spinel

I don't like what Steven Universe Future did to her in the final episodes. While I was glad she made a comeback they basically gave her the "Peridot treatment' as in she was only there for fanservice. I know she was only a one-off villain in the movie and was never meant to become a main character I just wish they did more with her. She had such an amazing performance in the movie and I wish we got to see more of that, even just a bit. Well I could always read fan fictions and comics to satisfy my needs anyways.
