Top Ten Pairs of Singers with the Most Similar Voices
I used to always think that the guy from Blur and the guy from Gorillaz sounded similar. That was until I realised they were actually the same person.
Funny that this is number one despite being on no one’s remix. I have often thought Alessia Cara’s music reminded me of Lorde but her voice sounds pretty different. She can do a pretty good impression of Lorde though and has covered multiple Lorde songs.
I thought Scars to your beautiful was sung by Lorde for two years
The lead singer of The Cranberries has a really similar singing style to Shakira, and sometimes you can't tell much of a difference except for the genre.
Examples:
"Zombie" by The Cranberries
"Underneath Your Clothes" by Shakira
When I first heard "Say You Won't Let Go" I was like wow, I never heard this Khalid song before! Turned out it was James Arthur lol.
Woah I had no idea they sounded similar until you mentioned it, now I realise it interesting.
I swear to God! These two sound so similar it's ridiculous! If I didn't know any better, I'd think that maybe Jason Derulo was making trap-ish r&b music under a different name just to mess with us all. I mean, if you put these two in a room together you probably couldn't tell their voices apart. Same tone, same runs, same high notes, same abuse of auto-tune, Eric's voice might be a bit higher than Jason's but that's about it.
I swear to God! The similarities between their voices are unbelievable.
One sings English and the other one sings Italian, but both have a very nasal voice that sounds pretty similar.
"In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins
"I Belong To You" by Eros Ramazotti
Both have very powerful singing voice that often sounds like there is much pressure on the throat (I'm sure there's a professional term for that)
Examples:
"Paid My Dues" by Anastacia
"We Don't Need Another Hero" by Tina Turner
Similar but not exactly the same. Anastacia's voice is more gutteral than Tina's. BOTH powerful voices. I LOVE them BOTH!
People always say how these two sound similar, but always forget to include Joel Madden in the pack. All 3 of them sound similar.
And what's even weirder is that they both love long song titles. I swear that I thought "I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me" was the longest song title ever - that is, until I heard a song with 91 words in it's title
I would say Urie has more of a broad voice and higher pitched, Stump can be very quiet
And I always used to think Thnks Fr Th Mmrs was by Panic until 2012. I was wrong!
The Newcomers
This one isn't as similar as the others on this list, but they can still sound kind of similar at times.
The two lead vocalists (singers and rappers) of DatAdam have extremely similar voices.
Example:
On the song "Hydra 3D" by DatAdam, verse 1 is by Taddl and verse 2 by Ardy, but I couldn't tell who is who if I wouldn't know.
Also similar genre and both great lyricists.
Example:
"Crucify Your Mind" by Rodriguez
"Times They Are A-Changing" by Bob Dylan
On Kelly's first 1-2 albums he sounded a lot like Aaron, but not after that.
German jazz singer Annette Louisan and leas singer of German alternative pop band Wir sind Helden Judith Holofernes both have very high pitched and soft vocals.
Example:
"Torsten Schmidt" by Annett Louisan
"Gekommen um zu bleiben" by Wir sind Helden
When I first heard "Hide Away" on the radio I was like wow, Rihanna's voice has improved!
Not gonna lie, I thought Hide Away and Don't let me down were by Rihanna.
I disagree. Rihanna sounds more like Sia to me, if anything.
Maybe due to them singing the same genre, but former Nightwish singer Anette Olzon and Beyond the Black singer Jennifer Haben sound pretty similar to me. Both have unusually pop-rockish vocals for symphonic metal.
Examples:
"Amaranth" by Nightwish
"Written in Blood" by Beyond the Black
Tank's voice is slightly better in my opinion
Before Bill Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel had his puberty voice change, he sounded a lot like female German rock singer LaFee.
Example:
"Durch den Monsun" by Tokio Hotel
"Prinzesschen" by LaFee
They have very similar sounding voices, but Chante has a far bigger range than Janet.
I've seen/heard him in concert, first as the lead singer of Queen's official tribute band, Queen Extravaganza & secondly as lead singer of his own Queen tribute band, The Ultimate Queen Celebration... and he's FANTASTIC! Sure, he'll never be Freddie and he's not trying to take Freddie's place but he's the closest to Freddie you'll ever hear BAR NONE!
Brian May and Roger Taylor CHOSE Marc Martel to be lead singer of the tribute band they created, "Queen Extravaganza" which he did around the globe for a number of years. They also used Marc's voice in their movie "Bohemian Rhapsody". Marc now has his own tribute band, "The Ultimate Queen Celebration".
The voice similarity is striking. If interested, go to the list Best Songs on Marc Martel's Impersonator. Also, in the image is Marc Martel and not Freddie Mercury - yeah, they even look alike.
Still wonder why Marc Martel isn't the new singer of Queen.
Maybe it is due to me not actively listening to RnB, but most contrmporary RnB singers sound extremely similar to me, especially Taio Cruz and Chris Brown.
Example:
"Dynamite" by Taio Cruz
"Right by My Side" by Nicki Minaj & Chris Brown
Taio Cruz sounds more like Timomatic, but I can see the comparison.
I think both are close, but Cardi B's rapping is worse than Nicki Minaj's. They sound similar, though. - NickelodeonYesAddminNo
Their voices are up there.
Nah, they don’t sound similar to me.
