The bald eagle is a bird of prey found in North America. A sea eagle, it has two known subspecies and forms a species pair with the white-tailed eagle. Yes, the US should treasure it because it is an awesome bird and fits the role of the US's national animal perfectly. I hope they don't replace the eagle with a bison or something.
