Top 10 Pick Up Trucks

The Top Ten
1 Ford F-150 SVT

Ford makes the inside of their trucks way more spacious. Inside Chevy/GMC trucks, you feel like sardines, in my opinion.

Ford F-150 Harley Davidson all the way...

I personally think Ford is the best because I grew up with those trucks. #fordstrong

2 Chevy Silverado

This is the very first truck I've owned, and it's given me so many memories on our trips. We had our first off-road trail together, and it never failed me. Although it's not in great shape now, we're planning to build it into a weekend toy. Lots of cool stuff is on the way, like 33" tires, new suspension, and a couple of LED light bars we ordered from 4WheelOnline. More updates to come as the budget allows.

I have never junked a Chevy truck yet. I'm always able to sell it for a reasonable amount, usually at about 250,000 miles. I can't say the same about a Ford. I have junked two at 150,000 miles. After years of buying used Chevy trucks (which was never a bad thing), I was finally able to get a new 2015 Silverado 1500. I don't suspect I'll ever need to buy another truck.

3 Dodge Ram 2500

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9, and I have out-pulled Ford F250s and Silverados. This truck has lots of power. Why would you buy a truck for speed? That's what cars are for. Lift trucks and make them loud and bad-ass.

The best truck is not the 2500. It's the 1500. The 1500 is cheaper and perhaps better off-road. The Dodge Ram SRT is faster than any truck in the world. It may even be faster than the Porsche Cayenne.

Since 2009, this has been the best truck, plus you get that macho look!

4 Dodge Ram 3500 Turbo Hemi
5 Ford F-250

I like the F-250s, especially with the 7.3 diesel in it.

6 Toyota Tundra

Let me start off by saying that the name tells you everything: "Tundra" means it can handle the toughest winters. You know this is a quality truck because it pulled a NASA shuttle, and no other truck could. Its V8 engine makes it better than the Tacoma because of power and horsepower.

The Toyota Tundra is actually my favorite pickup because of how reliable those trucks are. I actually like them better than the F150s and Silverados, despite being a Ford guy.

7 Ford Ranger

My dad had a 1980s Ford Ranger with a 5-speed manual transmission. I like the Rangers, but the only problem is that there is very little room with the seats in the extended cabs. There's hardly any legroom, but other than that, the Ford Ranger is a very good truck.

8 Dodge Ram 1500

Best truck. As I like to say, if you can't dodge it, ram it.

'02 1500 with a Hurst shifter. Best truck I have ever driven!

9 GMC Sierra 3500HD

I have owned a 2000 GMC 3500 2WD with an anti-slip axle, 5.7 cast-iron block and heads, and an L480E trans. This truck has the old-style body. All I can say is this truck has been one hell of a truck! I only wish they still made them. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

GM is a very trustworthy company. I've had the same 1948 GMC that my grandfather bought, and it is still running with no problems. GM has much better quality vehicles than Ford or Dodge. Foreign companies don't even come close. That's the reason GM is one of the top sellers to the US Armed Forces.

10 Toyota Tacoma

Best truck I've ever owned, and I'm 74 years old! My 2008 Tacoma is worth exactly what I paid for it three years ago. The only problem was the radio stereo, which was made by General Motors. Toyota replaced it!

They hold their value over the years. Chevy, Dodge, and Toyota make the best quality. Ford offers a smoother ride but not the long-lasting quality.

I've had the Tacoma for about two years. And for a V-6, it'll outrun, outbog, and overall outdo most trucks out there today!

The Contenders
11 Chevrolet 3500 HD
12 Jeep J10 Honcho
13 Cadillac Escalade EXT
14 Chevrolet 1500 HD
15 Ford F-650

These trucks are huge and can be useful as commercial trucks.

16 Chevrolet 2500 HD
17 Chevy Avalanche

I like the Chevrolet Avalanche and actually prefer it over the Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The Avalanche has better fuel economy, and it's a reliable truck. Its platform is shared with the Suburban.

18 Dodge Dakota

We had a 1990s Dodge Dakota, and I still miss that truck.

May be small, but it never let me down.

19 Nissan Titan

Great pickup truck. My personal favorite is the Pro-4X because of its off-road capability and ability to tow.

It's a very good truck and is as reliable as the Toyota Tundra.

20 Nissan Frontier
21 Honda Ridgeline
22 Ford F-150 Raptor

It is a newcomer, but it is the best!

23 Holden Colorado
24 Toyota Hilux

Don't forget the Toyota. It is the best pickup of all time and is very reliable too. Top Gear (UK) tested this, and it was invincible. It survived the sea, it survived fire, and it survived a collapsing building.
