Pokemon consists of many creatures that are not only based on real animals, but are also have been inspired by multiple mythologies, especially Japanese, Greek, and Roman, and other cultures of mythology. Here, we will be covering the top ten pokemon that are based by Greek Mythology on this list.Empoleon is obviously water-type, has a trident-shaped beak that points above the top of his head, and its name has... similar relations. You've guessed it. The three of these mentioned share similar traits to the Greek God "Poseidon".
Dusclops has one eye, and additionally, its name shares similar traits to the word "cyclops" (one-eyed creatures based on Greek and Roman Mythology). So it obviously has been inspired by that mythological creature.
