Um, no. As a country singer, she had a personality and...SHE WRITES MORE THAN JUST BREAKUP SONGS. "Blank Space" is a self parody, "Mean" is about bullies getting karma, "Ronan" is about a dying four year old, etc.

All of her songs are about the same thing breaking up with a boy friend and her voice is so generic and as far as overrated she would break the scale if there was one for most overrated artists

Kinda overrated, generic voice, kinda generic music. Not bad but yeah not the most original.

Why they aren't generic: They don't just write about love, partying, sex, drugs, etc. They write about relatable topics like how much they want to go back to a time when it wasn't stressful. It could come off as pandering, but it isn't generic.

In my opinion, they don't deserve the praise they get because their song are so generically boring.

My god the amount of praise this band gets is way too much plus they are pretty generic

Most of her music is just horrible and she has a painfully awful voice that auto-tune can't even fix. Her voice is like ear-rape, T.I.'s song Live Your Life would be a perfect song if she wasn't in it.

She at least puts passion into her music and has a personality. Plus, I don't get how "Love the Way You Lie", "Disturbia", and "Love on the Brain" are generic.
