Considering how pop music gets so much hate on this site. I'd figure to make a list on the most overhated pop artists.
Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He currently resides in Ontario, Canada and is Christian. He is the son of author Pattie Mallette. ...read more. His music is catchy but, very overrated. His vocals are pretty average and he doesn't seem to care for anyone other than himself. When he was younger, he cared a lot more and actually thanked those who got him where he was. Now, he just yells at fans for taking pictures, leaves in the middle of his concerts, and many more horrendous things. He doesn't put effort into his lyrics or the quality of his songs. He just makes songs he knows people will like, it doesn't even matter if he personally enjoys the song anymore. Truly sad to see him act so harshly to those who got him his fame/money and for him to produce mediocre songs.
People just think its "Cool" to hate him. He is a human being, would you like to be famous and suddenly everyone hated you. You became as hated as much as Justin Bieber and you hated Justin Bieber how would you feel?
Too puffed up with pride, thinks the world bows at his feet as if he were some important figure in culture. He honestly just copied other mainstream artists that think the same things. Extremely overrated.
Nothing more than a slightly below mediocre pop star with no distinguishing features. Nowhere near the worst there is.

It's a farce that Adele is on this list. She's one of the most talented artists ever. She has an amazing voice and writes incredible songs. Furthermore, she's won MANY awards. Why? Because she's BRILLIANT.
She's honestly not as terrible as some say. Her vocal range is great and she has proven to be very talented.

Kesha is an animal rights activist and she works for H.S.I. (Humane Society International). Kesha also stands up for L.G.B.T. rights in America They only looked at her surface level image and not the real her. I doubt any of those people actually knew what horrible things were going on in her life. She is a truly beautiful, amaizing person with incredible talent and a heart of gold. We all love you now, Kesha.
She had some gems in her older discography, but she truly became a great artist this year with her new album.
I'll admit I used to be on the Kesha hate bandwagon but she drastically improved since her old days.

"Call it what you want" was not that bad acutally.
Say whatever you want about music, but the media is expecting too much of her, and she gets judged for everything. She is overhated to an extent.

If the Love On The Brain performance was mediocre I'm a dog, her technique is bad but she is constantly improving especially between 2013 and 2016, she also puts tons of emotion in her singing like Adele.

Melodrama was also a good album.

Trainor's work has been recognized with several awards and nominations, including a Grammy Award, Music Business Association's Breakthrough Artist of the Year accolade and two Billboard Music Awards. Probably the most overhated artist of the decade. Yes, she has terrible songs, but she has some fun, catchy tracks.
"All About That Bass" Was mediocre but she does have far better songs in all honesty.

Rebecca Black is a YouTube personality and singer who's infamous for her 2011 single "Friday," which was the most disliked video on YouTube until "Baby" by Justin Bieber became the most disliked video in 2012. She has also released other songs, including "My Moment" and "Saturday". Blame Patrice Wilson for "Friday" instead. Rebecca has gone on to be far more competent than we'd all imagine. I also need to note that "Saturday" was a parody song and that Rebecca has said she's not making any songs about a day since then.
Like Rebecca Black, I kind of feel bad for Alison Gold, Madison Bray and others who are signed to Ark Music Factory. Sure its teen pop, but they can do a lot better with a more competent music coach and guidance over Wilson.
