Yes he had a popular following, and he was good, at the start of the 70s we knew he was something special by pinning Lou Albano's protege Crusher Verdue at Madison Square Garden. 2 times he was a WWWF tag team champion that decade, one with Sonny King and one with Billy White Foot. He once beat Bulldog Don Kent in a shark cage match at Big Time Wrestling in 1976. Strongbow, we know he was something special.
