Top 10 Power Ballads by Metal Bands

Power ballads are rock style ballads found in rock and metal music. They are mostly slow-paced songs that usually build to a louder, faster or more emotive chorus. Many metal songs have unusual structures and some of them have no choruses so the climax is achieved in a different way.

Power ballads aren't very typical for the metal genre but they exist. Some metal bands created power ballads that are closer to the rock style, while others - closer to the metal style. Both types are OK but I would give preference to power ballads with a more metal sound.

7 Fiddler On The Green - Demons & Wizards

A song without a chorus that has a progressive structure and different parts aren't repeated. The climax of the song is obviously the amazing scream Hansi Kürsch performed towards the end - a long, controlled, emotional and melodic scream.
