Top Ten Most Powerful Fictional Universes

Basically measuring how powerful the characters, technology, organizations, etc. are in a given universe.

The Top Ten

1 Cthulhu Mythos

When you are an immortal god-demon that can cause a planets population to go mad at just a glimpse of your terrifying figure... You probably are the most power thing in existence. Worried you might live near Cthulhu? Fear not, because you may never know. He may be laying dormant and controlling peoples minds while they sleep. Its no big deal. (About Cthulhu, not even the most powerful of the gods.)

The Most Powerful Fictional Omniverse That Lovecraft Has Created. Gods & Deities That Has The Power To Rule And Control INFINITE MULTIVERSES & Control Cosmic Entities Like Chess Pieces Without Any Effort. Could Potentially Obliterate & Decimate Limitless Multiverses As Well As Entities With A Whim. Never To Forget, These Eldritch Gods Has A Monstrous,Nightmarish & Hellish Physical Forms That Could Wreck The Feeble Fragile Minds Of These mortals. Even The So Called "Lesser Outer Gods" Powers Are Comparable To The-One-Above-All Himself As It Stated That They Are All Beyond Dimensions. Therefore They Are All Dimensionless. & One Last Thing That These Multiverses Are Infinitesimally Insignificant Sub Atomic Particles Which Is To Them.

An infinite number of increasingly powerful gods, who don't adhere to concepts such as time, space or reality. Also, alien species such as the Great Race of Yith have mentioned transferring consciousness across space and time. We have a clear winner. - Sop

And at number 1 we have the ridiculously overpowered but also ridiculously vague because that's just how HP Lovecraft rolls fictional universe know as the Cthulhu Mythos! Not only are there Outerversal characters, because I know lots of people are thinking "Well there's Outerversal characters also in a lot of other universes", but they have an infinite amount of Outerversal characters. Honestly, just one of these guys can destroy the entire Marvel and DC multiverse except for maybe the more powerful characters like the One Above All or the Presence. I may be biased, considering it's one of my favorite universes, what with such colorful characters like the ever so cheerful Nyarlathotep or the very humurous Yog-sothoth, but pretty much anyone would tell you that this Universe stands above all else as the most powerful.

2 Marvel Universe

Marvel Has beings like the living tribunal which is nigh omnipotent, nigh omnipresent, nigh omniscient and can erase realities, and they have the beyonder which is nigh omnipotent and nigh omnipresent and he can warp realities, and then there's The one above all which Is Omnipotent (all powerful/ can do anything he wants/ has all the powers) Omnipresent (everywhere at the same time) omniscient (all knowing/ Know everything) and those are the three most powerful beings in marvel but still there's eternity which can control space, time, and warp realities and there's Franklin Richards, Phoenix Force, Cyttorak, Mikaboshi, Magus, Galactus, the Grand Master, Hercules, Odin, Skaar, Vulcan, Rune king Thor, world breaker hulk, sentry, silver surfer, Thanos, Adam Warlock, Ms. Marvel. One above all will just erase them from existence with and he can just remove all of these creatures powers and he of coarse knows how to kill these because he is omniscient and this is like 3% bias But still I ...more

Has the one above all - Dvafan2

Characters such as Living Tribunal, pre-recton Beyonder, Eternity, Thanos (with the Infinity Gauntlet), and Odin put this on the list. - Sop

3 DC Universe

See Spectre, Superman (with Cosmic Armor), and other similarly godlike characters. Basically tied with Marvel. - Sop

4 Dungeons and Dragons Dungeons and Dragons

It's all 4chan's fault. Look up Pun-Pun, the most powerful character possible. - Sop

Fully optimized third edition, plus using rules as written, plus a very lenient DM? Recipe for the Mighty One.

5 Demonbane

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann on steroids. - Sop

6 Homestuck

Unimaginably powerful monsters, characters who can destroy multiverses, and a massive amount of characters who can destroy planets. - Sop

7 Star Trek Franchise

Space gods (see Q), utopian society, and weapon technology that goes further than lasers. - Sop

8 Doctor Who Doctor Who Doctor Who is a British science-fiction television programme produced by the BBC since 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called "the Doctor", an extraterrestrial being from the planet Gallifrey. The Doctor explores the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. more.

Time Lords wrote the laws of physics, and the Daleks nearly destroyed the multiverse. - Sop

9 Warhammer 40,000

Jeez, Warhammer just is the most powerful

The Strongest being in the 41st millennium is Khorne and he can Kill ANYTHING in the Cthulhu Mythos besides Azatoth. Nothing can kill Azatoth besides another Azatoth. - Aguythatpeopleignores

10 Pokemon

Pokemon is honestly more powerful than any other universe on this list. Arceus is a being who created all of reality. He is transcendent over all of existence. He can wipe anything from existence, or change reality so that you longer have your powers. Mewtwo can just take over your mind and make you serve him. Or wipe your memories, and change them so that you don't know you have powers and/or don't know how to use them.

A well balanced team with a thought out strategy easily takes out any opposers.

Arceus and the Creation Trio have immense powers of creation. The only reason they're not higher is because Giratina seems to be the only one with destructive power. - Sop

I choose you!

Powerful in its own right, but pales in comparison to a good deal of sci-fi. - Sop
