Top Ten Most Powerful Force Wielders from the Star Wars Universe

This is my list of the top ten most powerful Force wielders from the Star Wars universe. This includes the books, the movies, the video games and episodes.

The Top Ten

1 Emperor Palpatine Emperor Palpatine

Emperor Palpatine is one of the best Sith in the galaxy because he is both a master lightsaber combatant, able to bring Master Windu to a stand still, and a powerful Force wielder. Add that with the fact that he is a master manipulator, and you've got a pretty bad-ass Sith Lord.

2 Galen Marek Galen Marek

This guy is one of the most powerful Jedi/Sith in the galaxy. He was able to defeat the Emperor (but not kill him), which not even Yoda could do. He also had enough Force Power to be able to pull down a Super Star Destroyer, and had lightsaber combat skills good enough to best Shaak Ti and Darth Vader, two of the best lightsaber combatants of their time. His Force Lightning was so powerful it could not only kill his enemies at the slightest touch, but also incinerate them into ashes.

3 Yoda Yoda Yoda is a fictional character in the Star Wars space opera franchise created by George Lucas, first appearing in the 1980 film The Empire Strikes Back.

Everyone knows that Yoda is one of the best Jedi, as he was able to best Count Dooku in a lightsaber duel and also has hundreds of years of experience under his belt. He was one of the Jedi who was never even tempted by the dark side, and has always remained true to the light. He truly showed us that size does not matter as he trained many prosperous Jedi, fought many brave battles and managed to survive to tell the tale

4 Mace Windu Mace Windu Mace Windu is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, portrayed by actor Samuel L. Jackson in the prequel films.

Where to start with this guy. He is one powerful Jedi even though he has a lower midi-chlorian count than most Jedi. He was able to duel against Emperor Palpatine for a long time and might have actually managed to kill Palpatine had Anakin not interfered. He also disposed over Jango Fett, the mighty bounty hunter, during the Battle of Geonosis whilst keeping his head intact. All in all, he goes to show that he truly deserves his place on the Jedi Council, and it was a huge disappointment to find out that he didn't survive the Great Jedi Purge

5 Anakin Skywalker Anakin Skywalker

Almost anyone knows of young Anakin Skywalker's journey from being a boy slave to a menacing Sith Lord. He was a master lightsaber duellists, besting many Force wielders including Count Dooku and most of the Jedi Order. Too bad he lost all of his arms and legs otherwise he could've been a force to be reckoned with.

6 Darth Maul

Not much is known about the mysterious Darth Maul, who was assumed to have been killed in Episode 1, by being cut in half by Obi-Wan. But what is known was that he was the first Sith apprentice of Emperor Palpatine, and he carried a red double-bladed lightsaber. He was a strong swordsman, able to kill Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn with little effort. Unfortunately, he was beaten by Qui-Gon's Padawan, and fell into a pit on Naboo.

7 Obi-Wan Kenobi Obi-Wan Kenobi Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, played by Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor.

You can't go anywhere near a Star Wars convention without hearing the name Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was one of the most well-known Jedi who survived the Purge. He is well-known for being the defeater of Darth Maul, General Grievous and Darth Vader, all well-known swordsman. He seemed to have a thing for cutting off limbs, as all the people mentioned before were defeated with limbs cut off of them by Obi-Wan. Such as Darth Maul with no legs left, General Grievous with only one out of four arms left and Darth Vader with no natural limbs left

He beat half the people on this list and trained 2 of them. He mastered the ability to come back to life. A feat only done by a few jedi. He defeated Vader, who was more powerful than the Emperor.

8 Luke Skywalker Luke Skywalker Luke Skywalker is a fictional character appearing as the central protagonist of the original film trilogy, and as a supporting character in the sequel trilogy of the Star Wars universe created by George Lucas.

Luke Skywalker, the hero of the Original Trilogy, who blew up the Death Star with just one proton torpedo in Episode IV. He was a magnificent swordsman, as he was able to hold his own against Darth Vader in Episode V with little training. He was also able to delay Galen Marek from reaching the Millennium Falcon during the Battle of Hoth in an alternate universe of the Force Unleashed. Unfortunately, with both of these battles, Luke ended up losing his hand. In the latter battle, he even got corrupted by Galen Marek to turn to the dark side, becoming Marek's apprentice.

George Lucas has stated that Luke is the most powerful jedi ever

Luke is the most powerful Jedi, but how does the Yuzang Vong war show that? I read up so much but couldn't find anything.

9 Count Dooku Count Dooku

The mighty Count Dooku, who fell to his knees at Anakin's saber. He was most definitely a powerful Jedi turned Sith, who survived most of the Clone Wars before being betrayed by his Master and beheaded by Jedi Knight, Anakin Skywalker. He was one of the many Sith Lords able to use Force Lightning, and he was one of the greatest swordsman of his age.

10 Revan Revan

Revan is the man! There should definitely be more stories about him and his time in the world of starwars...

The Contenders

11 Rey Rey Rey is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed by British actress Daisy Ridley. First appearing as the central character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey is a scavenger who was left behind on the planet Jakku when she was a child, and later becomes involved with the Resistance's more.

Strong enough to use the force to force a Lightsaber that was already being forced by a Sith and Sith are usually the strongest force users

12 Rahm Kota

Not many know of Rahm Kota, who survived the Great Jedi Purge. He was a general during the Clone Wars, but he didn't trust the clones and relied on his own militia, saving his life when Order 66 was issued. He went into hiding, but 16 years later, he began attacking the Empire. He was found by Galen Marek, and in the battle that ensued, was blinded. He managed to escape, and ended up founding the Rebel Alliance, which was led by (though he did not know it) the man who blinded him, Galen Marek.

13 Darth Bane Darth Bane

He is the creator of the sith and is older than yoda! - LiamNeeson

14 Jyn Erso Jyn Erso Jyn Erso is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed by English actress Felicity Jones in the 2016 film Rogue One.
15 Darth Malgus Darth Malgus

One of the most powerful Lightsaber duelist in the galaxy also a very strong force wielder. He can use the force to survive a force blast that knocks him in to a stone wall that shatters and cuts him. He uses the force to survive huge explosions.

16 Leia Organa Leia Organa Princess Leia Organa, later known as General Leia Organa, is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed in films by Carrie Fisher.
