Top 10 Predicted 2019-20 NFL MVP Candidates

The 2019 Season is almost here which means we’ll see the players back in action. It’s a bit early to predict MVP’s but here’s some potential candidates who could win the Most Valuable Player award in the upcoming season
The voting period for this list has ended.
The Top Ten
1 Aaron Donald Aaron Charles Donald is an American football defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League.

Aaron Donald is one of if not the best players in the league right now. Last year he had 20 sacks and almost 60 tackles. Being a defensive tackle usually doesn’t exactly get as much attention as say a quarterback. The fact that he was as good as he was last year just proves that he’s really one of the unsung hero of the Rams

2 Khalil Mack Khalil Mack is an American football outside linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League.

After being traded by Oakland he tore it up in Chicago with 12.5 sacks. This is a guy who can change a defense by his presence alone. Da Bears were lucky to get him.

3 Drew Brees Drew Christopher Brees is an American football quarterback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He is the only player to have back to back to back 5,000 yards in three seasons straight. Brees also has the all time best completion percentage with 66.95%.

Last year he had one of his best seasons and came up just short of winning the MVP. If he can continue to play at that level he will have a good shot at winning it

4 Patrick Mahomes Patrick Lavon Mahomes II (born September 17, 1995) is an American football player who is currently a quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League.

Well Vegas has him as the favorite but I don’t know if he will. He has a lot of high expectations going into year 2. Only time will tell if he can meet those expectations

5 Phillip Rivers Philip Michael Rivers is a former American football quarterback. He played for the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers from 2004 to 2019 and for the Indianapolis Colts in the 2020 season. Rivers was drafted fourth overall by the New York Giants in the 2004 NFL Draft before being traded to the San Diego Chargers for Eli Manning that same night.

Rivers might not have too many seasons left but without a doubt he’s the best player on the Bolts. He’s thrown over 4,000 yards in every season since 2012 and has around 30 touchdowns every year. He’s honestly a bit underrated. With his contract expiring after this year could he step up his game in hopes for an extension?

6 Von Miller Vonnie B'Vsean Miller Jr. is an American football outside linebacker for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League.

An easy candidate for sure Von Miller has been the driving force behind Denver’s defense for years now and I expect him to continue his dominance. This could also apply to Bradley Chubb as well

7 Matt Ryan Matthew Thomas "Matt" Ryan, nicknamed "Matty Ice," is an American football quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League.
8 Christian McCaffrey

Christian McCaffrey is one of the best running backs of the 2019-20 season.Even without Cam Newton,he is doing amazing. He made history on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, when just recently became the the 3rd NFL player in the history of the NFL to get 1000+ rushing and recieving yards in the same season

9 Harrison Smith Harrison Smith is an American football safety for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League.
10 Russell Wilson Russell Carrington Wilson is an American football quarterback for the Denver Broncos, and formerly for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League.

Seattle just paid him some big bucks to stay so obviously they see something that they like in him. He’s always been a decent enough quarterback in my book. Last year he carried them to the playoffs. Can he do that again?

The Contenders
11 Ezekiel Elliott Ezekiel Elijah Elliott is an American football running back for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He played college football at Ohio State, where he earned second-team All-America honors in 2015.

Depends on how long his holdout lasts but there’s no doubt he’s the backbone of the cowboys offense. Dak is meh and Amari is good but Zeke is the best player on the offense for sure. If he does get paid he could have a big breakout year

12 Aaron Rodgers Aaron Charles Rodgers is an American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.

Last year he had a bit of an off year but with a new coach who knows. He might return to his elite form. We’ll just have to see

13 Carson Wentz Carson Wentz is an American football quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. He played college football at North Dakota State University. He was drafted by the Eagles with the second overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft, becoming the highest drafted quarterback from an FCS school and the highest drafted player from NDSU.
14 Alvin Kamara

One of the most explosive weapons Drew Brees has to work with. He has decent numbers in both of his seasons in the league. With Michael Thomas getting paid big time could we see Kamara step up his game and try to earn a big payday?

15 Saquon Barkley

Barkley had himself a stellar rookie season and right now he’s literally the only bright spot on the Giants. If he can have another outstanding year he might just win MVP as a consolation prize for being on this awful team

16 Baker Mayfield Baker Reagan Mayfield is an American football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League.

He sparked a renaissance in Cleveland and now they are loaded. With tons of weapons to work with it shouldn’t be too hard to find success in year 2.

He'll either be great this year, or he'll regress significantly.

I think we could see Mayfield just explode.

17 Tom Brady Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr., is a retired American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. Brady is known for being the only quarterback in history to win 7 Super Bowls, and was often considered one of the best quarterbacks of all time. Brady was also frequently considered to be the biggest steal in NFL history as a late 6th round pick. He had previously played for the New England Patriots from 2000 to 2019.

One thing to worry about is his age. He’s what 42 now? Obviously I don’t want to doubt him I mean just look at last years team but the decline might happen at any time. And No Gronk now so things might not be as smooth sailing on offense

18 Darius Leonard
19 Lamar Jackson
20 Andrew Luck Andrew Austen Luck is a former American football quarterback who played his entire career for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League.

Last year he was back and better than ever. He completely reformed the Colts after a 1-5 start. This year he could lead them deeper into the playoffs

I will never forgive you Chiefs for the divisional round game LUCK WAS ROBBED

21 Jimmy Garoppolo

Depends how he plays this season with a return from injury last year. I don’t think they will make the playoffs but if he plays decent he might have a shot

22 Deshaun Watson

Watson has potential to be an MVP caliber quarterback but it all depends on how healthy he is. If he goes down he’s not winning. The only other Texans with a chance are JJ Watt or possibly Deandre Hopkins

23 Derrick Henry
24 Nathan Peterman

A hall of fame worthy qb, never seen anything like him. Truly a franchise qb. Bills should've never let him go. He should've won MVP for sure. Have you ever seen a better qb.

The Raiders worse case scenario if Derek Carr were to get hurt again.

A proven starter who has been to the playoffs I give you mr QB rating of 0 Nathan peterman

25 T.J. Watt

Last year he proved himself to be a potential leader of the defense. Assuming he has another solid year on defense he could find himself in the conversation
