There is not much Progressive Metal prior to the year 1986. Of course, there was plenty of progressive rock but I don't want to stretch the definition of metal too much. Adjacently, I do not want to stretch the definition of prog to the point where I have non-prog metal albums in these lists. That is why this is where the past lists will stop.
