Gojira is composed of Joe Duplantier on vocals and rhythm guitar, his brother Mario Duplantier on drums, Christian Andreu on lead guitar, and Jean-Michel Labadie on bass. This band is very good but I can't put them higher because they were originally formed in 1996 as Godzilla and this list doesn't include bands formed in the 90s.

Formed in 2000, the band consists of Tommy Giles Rogers, Jr. Last because they aren't on Encyclopaedia Metallum (aka Metal Archives) but I think they are very close to metal. I believe they've got the needed potential to release a metal album.
