Top 10 Progressive Rock Musicians

The Top Ten
1 David Gilmour David Jon Gilmour is an English singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He joined the progressive rock band Pink Floyd as guitarist and co-lead vocalist in 1968.

For me, Gilmour has always been Idol in guitar. His talent of creating a soulful solo with just few notes in incredible. I remember for first time, when I played comfortably numb (first floyd song I ever heard) just to see whats the fuss about this Band? , The solo literally took me to places and even after years, it's my favourite song. The one thing I like about Floyds is, their music tells a story about you and Gilmour is certainly the narrator of the story. Even if you get bored of one song or solo, you will instantly stick to another one. Like I was once bored of Comfortably, and I felt like Gimour answering in my head "Okay Checkout my other work, Shine on you crazy diamond", and then Echoes and then High Hopes, then Coming back to life. There may be technically better guitarist than him, but he puts all his feelings into his guitar and that's what makes him great!
