A free spirited and mischievous young boy who can fly and never grows up, Peter Pan spends his never-ending childhood having adventures on the mystical island of Neverland as the leader of the Lost Boys, interacting with more.

Being a protagonist, he's not supposed to enjoy death or pain, but he enjoys seeing Hook in life-threatening situations and cut off his hand for no reason except his own entertainment. It's understandable that Hook wants revenge so badly. He's very rude, barely letting others finish a sentence before talking. When the mermaids try to drown Wendy he laughs and when Wendy tries to fight back he stops her and acts as if she's the bad guy. And in contrast to the animated Disney adaption, in the book he's a more sinister character. He kidnaps the kids and drags Wendy out the window, and he kills the lost boys if they disobey him or accidentally grow up. Not exactly a great role model.
