Don't let there friendly appearance fool you! They don't look like the type of dog that would be a guard dog but they are! They also are not recamended for families with children.

My family owns one Kuvasz and one Akbash. They are both a pretty mellow breed indoors but need a lot of room to roam and a 6 foot high fence. they do better in the country and need a job to do in order to be happy. Ours keep the chickens, ducks and csts safe from raccoons and coyotes. They're stubborn, but sensitive and need gentle, consistent training.
