6 Devo Devo is an American rock band from Akron, Ohio formed in 1973. Their classic lineup consisted of two sets of brothers, the Mothersbaughs and the Casales, along with Alan Myers. The band had a No. 14 Billboard chart hit in 1980 with the single "Whip It", the song that gave the band mainstream popularity.

The band has kind of a "groovie goolie" thing going on. Skull and corpse make-up/face paint.

Use to perform wearing paper bags on their heads until in the late 70s (78? ) when Darby Crash from The Germs jumped on stage and took all the bags off their heads and ran off. After that they stopped wearing the bags.
