Best Punk Rock Bands
The Contenders: Page 12
This is emo-pop or pop rock. Maybe a little bit of pop punk, but nowhere near punk rock. - Plonderss
Amazing punk rock band from Portland. Definitely should be way higher on the list!
Without them, Nirvana wouldn't exist, and quite literally. Even Cobain said it. - Gruunge
'Is this real? ' is an absolute classic album.
Titus is a fairly unknown band, but critically acclaimed by the rolling stone magazine, these new jersey flame throwers reinvent punk rock on their intellectually genius album, The Monitor. They just keep on improving, and I believe they are good enough to become number one of this list some day.V 1 Comment
Fear might as well be the founders of hardcore punk. Their songs I don't care about you is fast loud obnoxious and awesome its everything you need to make a punk song. The majority of their songs are politically correct and are more punk than the majority on this list. It's fair to say that this whole list is a popularity contest
Fear at 119 is almost sadder than Green Day being at 1.
What? This list is crap. Fear should be top 5. "Let's Have A War! "
How is fear, gg Allen and the murder junkies, and total chaos not in top 50!
Not Punk, who are these imbeciles, putting The Killers, The Police, Muse, Slayer, etc on this list? I like The Flaming Lips, but they don't belong here.
One of my all time favorite Fat bands along with Strung Out & Propagandhi - ParklinkV 1 Comment
" Awesome Christian Punk band. Should be next to Green Day."
Christian Punk sounds to me a contradiction in itself!
They may have been loosely punk, but they were still punk.
Stin(k)g a Punk, don't think so.
Damn, all the way down here? damn. riot is one of the most punk rock bands ever! thy stood up to an oppressive dictatorship, stood up for what they believed in. plus, there music is pretty damn good!V 2 Comments
They are a pretty kick ass band and I'm only here to tell you how good they are and when you listen to swpb you wont ever want to leave your room again they have good songs like will you meet me in the graveyard? , there;s a new creep on the block, we all know the weddings over, sleeping beauty and a lot of more songs but listen to them they;re the best in my opinion.V 1 Comment
I can't believe Flipper was ignored here. There'd be no Nirvana if Flipper never existed. Flipper was a million times better than Nirvana anyhow. In fact Flipper was responsible for creating the new genre of punk that's labeled as "grunge." I'm impressed with how this band slowed things down, listening to this band is the closest anybody could get to doing heroin without actually doing it.
This band should be top five. Will Shatter is better than any of the clowns at the top.V 2 Comments
They both define punk and rock its like if iron maidens main singer was a girl make Me wanna die is their best song you should listen to them
Probably nobody has ever heard of them but they are amazing there kinda like nirvana meets the pretty reckless meets Green Day there best song is walk on never end street I don't know how long it will take them to get more famous but give them a chance
The best Punk-Band to come out of Germany (since '79, still going). Check out 'Religion' or 'A.C.A.B.'.
