Best Punk Rock Bands

The Contenders: Page 3

41 Charged GBH

Don't take too much notice of this lists - Punk's not dead at all, in fact, it's more alive than it has been for years.

First punk band I ever saw live, age 14. Never looked back, Punk became my life.

This is how you know that punk is dead. Green Day #1? Good Charlotte ahead of GBH? GBH is hands down one of the top 5 punk bands all time. And where are the Dayglo Abortions? Who makes these lists?

Seriously underrated both in the UK punk scene and in general. Great music.

42 American Steel
43 Agent Orange

One of the best punk bands

In my opinion, Agent Orange is better than the Sex Pistols, but that's just me... Popularity does not matter. It is about sound.

Perfect 3 piece band "Living In Darkness" is as perfect as one album gets,a front to back materpiece

44 Lagwagon

Dude if any of you people even knew what punk rock music was, you would know that this band started the punk scene with nofx in the 80s so please open your eyes to music. Punk music. These other bands sold out.

Greatest Skate/Punk Band ever, listen to Trashed if you're still stuck in your Blink 182 phase, and you will soon see the ways of more honest, meaningful, and FAR more musically interesting punk. Plus they had the greatest punk drummer of all time... DERRICK PLOURDE!

Lagwagon is probably the most underrated band on this list! Seriously, listen to Trashed or Blaze and you'll see what I mean.

Not to sound stoopid..but there has always been something about Lagwagon I didn't like. I can't put a finger on it. I have bought their albums 7 inches and seen them live numerous times and just can't figure it out. - Parklink

46 Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers

Saw Walter Lure live the other week, the only surviving member of the Heartbreakers and even the Ramones. A real punk, a gentleman and a real living legend. Could have listened to his little anecdotes before classics like 'Chinese Rocks', 'One Track MInd', 'Born to lose' and 'Get off the Phone' for hours and hours. Try to see him while you still can.

Stones influenced proto punk from the streets of NYC. Johnny Ramone rated them in the top four bands of the 77 era, alongside Ramones, Pistols and the Clash. On a good day Johnny was one of the best. Too bad they didn, t last.

They didn't last, but, as mentioned, Walter Lure is keeping their spirit alive and pretty well too. The closest thing one's gonna get today, but it won't last forever.
