1. Nirvana (I don't like them but what they completely changed music and I will take time every minute to respect then for the rest of my conscious life)
2. Stone temple pilots ( they're just plain awesome)
3. Soundgarden (I can't get enough of this band)
4. Foo Fighters (if it weren't for the fact that they only wrote a few grunge songs they would be number 1. Thanks for shooting yourself curt)
5. Pearl Jam (we all know they're awesome)

Number 1 without a doubt. Alice In Chains has done great stuff but they're not really grunge,...they're metal.

4 Pearl Jam Pearl Jam is a grunge/alternative rock Band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band had comprised of Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament. Pearl Jam are most famous for their hit singles "Even Flow", "Black", and "Jeremy" which all appear on their debut album, "Ten", named after the basketball player Mookie Blaylock's jersey number, #10.

5 Mudhoney Mudhoney is an American grunge band. Formed in Seattle, Washington in 1988 following the demise of Green River, Mudhoney's members are singer and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison and drummer Dan Peters.

It makes me mad Pearl Jam is on this list. Pearl Jam isn't even pure grunge at all, Pearl Jam is poppy. I like Pearl Jam, but they're the least grunge-like grunge band.

Mudhoney should at least be at 4
