1 "Art used to be something to cherish. Now literally anything could be art. This post is art." - Unknown user of 4chan

Art is expression. Therefore, everything is, indeed, art. It may be a label you can bestow on anyone, but I don't want it losing its value either. Being an artist is hard, but I love it!

The Contenders

11 "Nostalgia is believing that the past is better than it really was because the present sucks" - Unknown

No, nostalgia is because we tend to remember the good times and every time we revisit the memory, we romanticize it even more because we modify memories to fit our mood. Which is why a person can say, go on a rollercoaster and spend the whole time terrified out of their wits, and retell the story like it was exhilarating and fun. It rather shows how our memories are unreliable emotion wise.

You look back for the good things. Why would you look back for the bad things? But then many people deny that they look only for the good and are not seeing the bigger picture.

Don't say that. If you do it won't help. It's just gonna get worse if you think it. Be positive about the future. We know something good will come.

But the present still sucks, and the future will be even worse.

12 "Today is like this simile. Not very good." - Unknown

That's a bit harsh, don't you think? I was rather surprised to see this on the list. I think Jim would have faith in my generation. Maybe a more accurate quote would be from Billy Joel.

"The good old days weren't always good, and tomorrow ain't as bad as it seems."

That's completely stupid.
