This is very true. The God is very much alike various other Gods, making his form common and not unique and awesome as many state that he is. - Alpha101
The real question here is "Why would God make humans if He will still be a God without us? ". Did God doesn't have other choice to make instead of us? God will still be a God even we don't exist. Is it love that forced Him to make us exist in this world? Or maybe, our existence is inevitable. God has no choice but to let us exist in this world. Whether He likes it or not. Or maybe, it is too lonely if there is no people to call Him or pray for Him and praise Him, that is why He made us. What do you think? For two million dollar question, deal or no deal?
God did not create sins. It is the human who created sins. The only mistake is that, we have been given by God the freedom and knowledge and then we use it for making sins. And that is the reason why we are here - to prove if we are worthy on his presence. We know the difference between right and wrong. God also gave us the bible to be our guide, and still, we decide to enjoy doing our sins. Why do we have to blame God if we are the one who is deciding to make those sins? Is that making any sense?
This is a common argument for those who oppose Christianity, and they're completely right. Why would a God create people, knowing that they would rebel and become impure? Also, why would he blame us today for the sins of the very first humans on the planet? It makes no sense! - Alpha101
Many people ask God for answers, but, most of the time, nothing happens. Even the most devout Christians rarely see what they prayed about being accomplished. If God loves us, why would he ignore our pleas? - Alpha101
"Sometimes the answer is "no". God hears all pleas yet is not involved in changing or affecting what's happening on Earth, only in the Spiritual Realm and Heaven. People should pray, but not for or to expect "things" or reactions from prayers. - Billyv
You can ask God all you want, but he doesn't have to say yes. If I ask you for $50, do you have to give it to me?
Nah I found Wicca (Religion, which actually Christians are scared of) in a teen magazine.
There are some religions that don't make people afraid to not be apart of them: Buddhism, Hinduism, etc, but Christianity isn't one of them. - ToptenPizza
Two words: The. Crusades. - Alpha101
Many Christians ignore or even resent other Christians for believing in things such as Evolution, The Big Bang Theory, etc. - Alpha101
The Bible gets many things wrong. For example, it states that the Earth is flat, even though it is spherical. - Alpha101
Again, why did God allow the human race to chose sin over perfection? It does not make any sense. Sure, it gave us free will, but why would he let us chose free will if, one, he knew that we would chose sin, and two, that we would still be suffering for the sins of our ancestors today? - Alpha101
Given that Galileo himself was a man of great faith, I can't see how this "debunks" Christianity. Rather, it points out a flaw that many Christians possess. - PetSounds
Why would God give us the power to think for ourselves, to question, and to learn, and then tell all of us to follow him blindly? - Alpha101
Knowing what will happen doesn't mean He controls what happens. He wants the world to come to Him from their own free will. Put it like this, if your kid ran away from home, would you feel better by forcibly dragging them home, or if they came back home because they realized how much they need you? God is the same. He rejoices when His children come home all on their own, no matter how far they have strayed. - keycha1n
How is it free will that God knows what we are going to do, when we are going to do it, and how we are going to do it? That's not free will. That's control. - Alpha101
God cannot be all god and all knowing. If he knows what lust feels like, he isn't all good. If he doesn't, then he isn't all knowing
This is perfect.
I asked this question once to my church counselor, she said that a mother might learn that her baby will be born with a defect, but that doesn't mean she'll abort them. God loves us, so even though He knows we'll be born sinners, that we'll cause Him great pain and sadness, He creates us because He loves us so much, that its worth it to Him. - keycha1n
Again, this does not make any sense at all. - Alpha101
Love this quote, actually! We talked about it in Sunday School, and really, its quite true. Definitely something we ought to work on... - keycha1n
