Best Quotes from the Movie Bull Durham

Bull Durham is a 1988 baseball movie starring Kevin Costner, Tim Robbins, and Susan Sarandon. A perfect blend of sports movie, comedy, and philosophy, Bull Durham is about a minor league baseball team (the Durham Bulls) and their wild, superstar new pitcher (Tim Robbins) who gives himself the nickname "nuke". Kevin Costner (Crash Davis) is brought down to the Carolina League ball club to act as catcher and mentor to the young would-be superstar pitcher to ready him for the majors.

Annie Savoy (Susan Sarandon) is a local "team mom" who takes one player per season under her wing, and into her bed, in order to both satisfy her own boredom as well as help them improve their game. This season it's Nuke, though she secretly longs for something more than a season fling when she meets Crash.

You'll laugh, cheer, and maybe just learn something from this film.
The Top Ten
1 Annie Savoy : The world is made for people who aren't cursed with self awareness.
2 Crash : This son of a bitch is throwing a two-hit shutout. He's shaking me off. You believe that s**t? Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.
3 Crash : Relax, all right? Don't try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.
4 Crash : Nuke's scared because his eyelids are jammed and his old man's here. We need a live rooster to take the curse off Jose's glove and nobody seems to know what to get Millie or Jimmy for their wedding present. Is that about right?
5 Nuke : A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
6 Crash : Man that ball got outta here in a hurry. I mean anything travels that far oughta have a damn stewardess on it, don't you think?
7 Annie Savoy : Baseball may be a religion full of magic, cosmic truth, and the fundamental ontological riddles of our time, but it's also a job.
8 Crash : I wouldn't dig in if I was you. Next one might be at your head. I don't know where it's gonna go. Swear to God.
9 Nuke : It feels out there. I mean, it's a major rush. I mean, it feels radical in kind of a tubular sort of way, but most of all, it feels out there.
10 Crash : Throw that s**t again, Meat. Throw that weak-a** s**t again.
