Autodidacticism (AKA, self-education) is where you educate yourself instead of relying on teachers, professors, schools or colleges. It's much easier to do it now because of the internet where people are learning things faster than they have in the past. School isn't really for everyone so I'd suggest that it would be much easier to self-educate yourself instead of just being taught by someone else.
