Still it's the most terrifying thing to ever exist
Astronomical observations are more than simply documenting the constellations and the way they move. Our critical thinking has deepened our understanding not only of our place in the universe and the way the Earth behaves, but about the fundamental interactions of physics which govern our observations, in a stationary frame on Earth, or a frame in which light speed appears to be exceeded. We've learned from astronomy how we came to be, and it only has further implications in cosmology, wave mechanics, thermodynamics and so much else. Astronomy is a gateway to knowledge, so why turn down such an amazing opportunity to explore the beautiful cosmos? - PositronWildhawk
There's so much more out there, and humanity has been looking at the stars since there were humans. If I had to choose a science to go into, I'd easily pick astronomy. I'll have to brush up on math, however...
