Top 10 Reasons to Leave YouTubeWe all loved YouTube, it has given us so many awesome videos and shows for us, there were people who made funny videos that made us all laugh.
But it seems that we don't have any good videos anymore, and instead they're being filled in with a bunch of crappy garbage videos that don't mean anything other than shock value and laziness.
It's a horrible evolution for YouTube and much of the Internet.
Here's a list of the reasons why we should all leave YouTube.
As far as this list was made, it is flawless and has no mistakes, it deserves approvement for what it is.
This is very true. Youtube seems to actively reward all these horrible people. And due to the studies done by sources such as New York Times and Vox there's also worry that Youtube is being used as a breeding ground for the Alt-Right. Because those kinds of videos always seem to get pushed to the forefront, and how they feed off Youtube's algorithm to the point where it thinks that if you watched just one of their videos you're the biggest fan and want all their other videos shoved in your face. The amount of times I had to click "Not Interested" on entire channels was just staggering.
YouTube used to have awesome people you would want to watch their videos of and subscribe to, they were so funny.
But nowadays, that isn't the case anymore, now we're seeing even the best YouTubers in history become bad people, they are doing bad things like making fun of people, swearing, not listening to fans, and showing off their body parts for more viewers and money, it's serious, they've turned to the dark side.
It just shows you that YouTube and its people have lost their charm and can't be good anymore, they choose to be bad and not realize what happens when they do that.
Most of the bigger earning YouTubers have become so ugly and pretentious. They brag about their money and it's total ugliness.
I hate youtube. Always have. Always will. They need to be regulated. Too many trolls. Awful.
Once again talking about mainstream YouTube and specific YouTube people in the community. The difference between YouTube then and now, is that YouTube is now considered a place you can make money in as a job. On the other hand, back then not many people made money, it was a place to post weird and wacky videos of people. So lots of people do things that are popular to get views and money (playing it safe), I like some people on YouTube most notably The Amazing Atheist destroying Christians (which I love watching because you see how the logic of the craziest Christians doesn't stand up in the real world)
I Hate Everything Search for the worst (always fun seeing how bad the movies can get that he is watching) and others who aren't super mega popular except for Robbaz (my favourite gamer YouTuber).
YouTube used to be the best site of all time, and it was for quite a long time, but that's not the case with the modern YouTube, it was great to go on back then, but now it's not anymore.
Back then, it had very funny videos, but now, they're gone and instead, we get to see stupid, lazy, insulting, and gross videos.
Videos of people making gross foods, DIY edible slop, nonsense reaction videos, and attention prostitution.
Yet even the biggest people we once had, making the best videos back then, have evolved into these disasters.
YouTube used to be great, but sadly, the good videos are going with the Dinosaurs, R.I.P. YouTube 2005-2014.
YouTube needs to be back to this fun site it used to be, not this trashy money-making site that hurts our heads, I hardly see any good videos anymore, yet I keep going on many different channels to see if there are any good videos, and so far, very few, once they get removed, then YouTube is dead.
It's the Worst site now, I used to go on it, I loved it for so long, but now it's not good anymore, I can't watch anything on it anymore, all the videos I love are destroyed and replaced with horrible videos.
Actually, we have PewDiePie; hate him all you want, but he actually does donate to charities and has appeared on smaller gaming channels.
They kick off the smaller channels that aren't making enough money for the company. As if Google doesn't have enough money!
Give them a chance.
Remember when YouTube used to have all these funny videos from people? They made us laugh so hard, we would get the hiccups.
But that's hardly happening anymore, and even the funniest people we once had on YouTube, have gone downhill to extremes, and with that, it has been connected to us that YouTube cannot be funny anymore, but instead have gross videos treated as comedy.
Actually, we have SMG4, bill wurtz, Nathaniel Bandy, Memeulous and more!
Actuallyi he comedy has grown
There’s still comedy in YouTube, but I kind of agree with this. Two of the channels that made me laugh the most haven’t uploaded in months.
Ya honestly I fell like the people who been on youtube the most, defends these bullies. Sures there's negative criticism but it can be done maturely without threaten them into drama or death threats. Just because people can use the " Constructive Criticism" excuse doesn't mean it's a pass to be an total ass. I feel like these youtubers are profiting bulling by these steps. 1. They see a YouTuber they don't like 2. Make a "commentary" or rant I should say, to them 3. The fans of the Self Proclaimed Commentator Flames on the victim youtuber he made a video on 4. The commentator collected all of his and her subs just so he can get money and views to make the victim small and harmed. That's how youtube goes today. Big youtubers picks on small youtubers for profit. For instance take keemstar for example.
When people went on YouTube, they posted comments about the videos.
But then, like we didn't hope, people started posting comments that were either rude, insulting, negative, or just annoying.
Some people made fun of others, and there are even people who are bullied by others when they're just trying to let others know, and there are also comments of people not liking certain sexual orientations.
We know things like this happen on social sites, but on YouTube, it has gone too far.
I agree. I just closed my youtube account because of some really mean and ugly comments that were made to and about me even when I ignored them. It's no longer enjoyable to comment without getting blasted. I will watch videos but not comment. But it is easy to sit behind a computer screen and spew hate.
Harsh? More like someone can't take negativity. "Bullying" has turned into a word used by people who overreact over criticism. Not everyone would like you and you can't please everyone. And I acknowledge that not everyone would like this comment, too.
I once watched an 8 out of 10 cats video. the next day I get loads of videos about James Macaster, who I despise. And the 8 out of 10 cats video did not mention or have James Macaster.
I watch 2 Smosh videos for the first time in months and what happens? A ton of Smosh videos show up in my feed.
I hate "recommended for you". It is so annoying.
All the time, it made me hate YouTube so much.
YouTube used to accept people uploading videos, including clips from shows/movies as well as full shows/movies, for free, but then one day, someone complained about copyright and reported to YouTube about it, then YouTube was hypnotized and removed the videos, and then, they have grown so much that they complained to the point of taking down even edited videos, YouTube isn't even good anymore.
Yes! So many people who use clips as evidence or as basis for commentary get a strike. A 90 minute video can get claimed for a 5-second clip, and then the striker can get the video taken down (used a lot if they just want to bury the evidence) or they can claim all the revenue! As if the creator didn’t do any work at all!
I completely agree with you. I remember a time when all the good Disney movies, all the Kratts' Creatures and Garfield and Friends episodes (nostalgia fuel for me), and all the Animal Atlas episodes were on YouTube, but then they had to ruin it with the copyright claims while leaving bad videos to stay on the site.
This is a major peeve of mine. I wish it didn't happen.
YouTube used to be the best site ever to go on, but lately, people have been doing weird things like this, such as talking about and doing weird things, like joke about certain subjects/objects like certain body areas, and often, they even flash certain parts onto the cameras for shock value, more viewers and money.
It's just such a shame that people do that very often nowadays on YouTube, and it's just one of the most desperate attempts at gaining more viewers, subscribers and making more money, it just ruins their reputations and pollutes our entertainment and minds, how can anyone watch a good video with all this garbage around?
Swearing is a big problem, we know lots of people on Earth swear, even your parents or siblings can swear, but on YouTube, which was once a place for just about everyone to go on, it has gained in swearing to levels we've never measured before, and even some of the most iconic people who didn't swear back then are swearing now, it shows you more proof that YouTube is going downhill.
It's actually true, people swear because they want to and because they want more viewers, they don't realize that it's not a way to get viewers, and they're being horrible, people just like to mess their minds with idiotic psychopaths that pollute our internet, at least this site is cleaner and better.
I feel like I am the only adult on the whole 'net who doesn't swear. I wish more people didn't swear as it can be unpleasant and there are many words you can use as an alternative.
Freedom of speech, really. Though hearing children swear all over the place is cringey.
The abuse of youtube to "subscribe" to get rid of all of the inane ads...as if they can pressure you into buying a monthly subscription by nagging you to death with advertisements and then stopping the music you're listening to to make you click, "yes...duh, I am listening still"
The massive increase in advertisements recently has completely turned me off You Tube. There is no way I would subscribe - it’s way too expensive.
I see what you did there. You put an ad on this one.
There's probably an ad below this top 10 comment!
Not all 8-year-olds are terrible, but they should not be having accounts. Especially on popular YouTube videos, those "children" says things like "ime onlee 7 but hadd secks with 10 gurlz," or "Ime 8 yeerz ol buut alreedee 9'10" tawl," and many other unrealistic comments. Not all children with YouTube accounts do that, but most do. It's annoying to many adults skimming through the comments. I apologize if this is a stupid comment.
most of those "8-year-olds" are trolls, remember "I'm 12 years old and what is this" the 8-year olds that do exist post gibberish.
YouTubers used to make videos with their own original ideas, but they aren't doing that anymore, instead, they are being like everyone else, of course when you get older you want to move on, but what they're doing is plagiarizing each other with their not-so-random videos and many people and I can't even go onto YouTube anymore with all those copycat videos being made, they either ran out of ideas or just don't want to make good videos, they lost their effort and talent.
Agreed so much. Ripoffs and stealing both suck.
It's called a SCHTICK. A few YouTubers would copy one another but that's called INSPIRATION.
YouTube used to be great and free, and back then, people would upload any video for free without signing in, but then Google+ decided to take over YouTube, and that was when it first went downhill.
Ever since then, people had to sign in to Google+ and get an account from them in order to upload videos, like/dislike them, subscribe to the YouTubers, post comments, etc.
Google+ is a big corporation made by Google, but Google+ did not help YouTube at all, it was originally supposed to be a social sharing site, but instead, it ended up being a marketing place that forced people for money, YouTube didn't really even need Google+.
True, Google+ was what ruined YouTube in the first place, people have to sign in to Google+ in order to upload videos, subscribe to others or post comments, Google cares too much about money and they don't give a thing to people because they beg too much for money, yet I agree it was supposed to be a social sharing site, when it instead became a greedy marketing site.
Google+ sucks, they are AWFUL and they ruined YouTube, now you have to sign in to Google+ in order to have a YouTube account.
If your video has big bold letters and giant arrows pointing at something in your thumbnail I'm not watching it.
Look at Morgz, Ali-A, and N&A Productions for an example. - Joshtition 24
There are comments like this first, notification squad and who is watching in.I always report comments like this because they are spamming the video and they also get likes for nothing this comments that are already unoriginal. these people should stop doing this and no one cares if get a notification squad or your watching in 2018 or 2019 and if your first cause NO ONE CARES
Comment like Bad Song on good music which makes no senses.
FIRST COMMENT ON THIS ITEM! ! YEAH FIRST COMMENT!
Remember back when you go on YouTube, you saw these amazing channels, but now, even if/though they're still there, they aren't good anymore, and it shows you that they have evolved into awful channels with little to no entertaining videos and and the people making the videos aren't good anymore.
I can't STAND the channels YouTube has now, it used to have awesome channels to go on and watch videos on, but not anymore, they're just creepy and disgusting, who would pay people to watch them?
The good days are over.
It's poisoning people's minds with useless information which slows down your reaction time
It doesn't make you happy you need to live and escape from social media
Every website is toxic
Why the hell?
Youtube has flagged videos because they do not agree with the opinions in those videos. They have also automatically demonetized channels who's message they don't agree with.
"GoTtA mAkE yOuTuBe kID fRiEnDlY! " Say to the ones that posted an ad of underpants...
Why would I bother paying for Youtube Red...I don't get it.
I hate that YouTube is banning sml from there site these new rules are the reason why I hate YouTube now
I seen comments from Non-political pages where people who talk to much off-topic like Obama, Romney and even Trump which the video hasn't do anything with real life.
Can these folks debate somewhere else? Bunch of wannabe jokers.
